Awful dealership! Lies, run-around and completely treating my family and I like a number and not a customer. We went to this dealership because of the reviews. HUGE MISTAKE! We had an appointment Saturday May 3rd at 11:00 to look at the Telluride S. Roberto was our salesman. I started out telling him that my brother is a Sales Manager at Chevy, I know the car business well and we were just starting out. We were going to check out other vehicles and then make a decision. He had us waiting about an hour for a test drive. It then took a while for him to get back to us with pricing. He started out at $719 a month for the lease. That was extremely high. I informed him that he was way off. He then dropped the price to $589 like that. I asked him what changed. His response was you know how the business works. Huh? I've been in sales for 25+ years. I would never do that to someone. He then tried to get me to put money down and shorten from 36 to 24 month lease. I told him he was still way off. He asked what it would take for me to buy the car and I told him $499 a month. Then the Sale Manager Terry came over and said if we give it to you for $499 a month will you take it. I said yes. We weren't expecting to take the car that day, but they forced us to and gave us no options for color. It was now 12:45 and Roberto said the car would be ready for us in 1 hour. We got lunch and came back at 2:00. He told us to wait in the hot waiting area. We waited for hours with no communication at all. I finally asked Roberto what was going on and told him we were leaving if we didn't see the Finance guy in 15 minutes. They then got us in. We waited in the waiting area 3 hours. Not one person communicated with us, or asked us if we needed anything. We finished up at 5:30 with the Finance Manager. We spent the entire day at the dealership. Terry then told us that he had to give us dealer plates, because they couldn't get a hold of our insurance company. He said twice to me that once insurance was executed, they would come to my home and deliver my plates to me and take the dealer plate back. The salesman didnโt go over the car with us, which is shocking. We were so frustrated at everything that we just wanted to go. They were also to deliver our expiring Chevy lease to my brother's dealership, which is nearby. Roberto and Terry gave us a run-around that entire week. Empty promises, ignoring us and we needed our plates. On Thursday the 8th, my brother called Terry, who told him he would reach out to me that day to make arrangements. He never called me. On Saturday the 10th, my brother went into the dealership and got my plates and the Chevy. I still had the dealer plates. I figured they would call to pick them up right away. It wasn't until Wednesday the 14th that my wife and I started receiving calls from several people that they wanted the plates back. My wife informed them to contact me. I was in meetings all day and couldnโtโ respond. I called back AJ who back and he didn't pick up, so I texted him. This was around 10:00 in the morning. On Friday at around 1:00 I look at my phone and I have 10 missed calls from a 516 area code that I didn't recognize. I called it back. It was the Sales Manager Terry on the phone and he started yelling at me that I have his dealer plates, I'm avoiding him and he's going to call the Police on me. (you canโt make this up) I attempted to remind him that it was him who gave me the plates, ignored us and didn't hold up their end of the bargain. He said he only gave me the dealer plates because we were waiting for so long to get the car. Another lie. They did it because they wanted the sale. He said I'm coming up to pick up the plates now, with an angry tone, I gave him my work address, he hung up on me as I was talking. He got the plates. I was told by another family that the dealership was recently sold. I can't confirm that, but it makes sense. At the end of the day we got a great deal on the car, but I cannot let the way we were treated go without alerting everyone else who may consider...

I didn't have the title on me, but I described it in perfect detail and they agreed that it could work when I brought it in.
First, they only had one key for the car, and I had to come back to the dealership to get the second key programmed and to collect my check. After calling several different people and being told different things, chasing people down to get a date to come in, making a complaint to corporate, writing an email to the owner/managers/ dealers at the store did I finally get a day to come in to pick up the second key and check. When I came in, I handed the title to Nick, who said it wasn't usable. I told them their guys told me it was to make a sale, and that they had a picture of it in the email sitting for days without anyone letting me know they couldn't use the title. I was told the general manager, Eric Shin, would meet with me and discuss the matter. He ended up blaming me for their mistake, being extremely disrespectful, and talking down to me.
All in all, I took my car back and sold it quickly to the Bronx Chevrolet Dealer with the title I had along with some other documents. Do not go to this dealership! They will do anything for a sale, even if it's unethical. They do not care about you once they make their sale. Avoid at all costs. Yonkers Kia is a good place to go if you need another option.
Update: Please see response from Kia City Bronx. Itโs very telling of their practices. My experiences were โirrelevant.โ That should be their customer service motto! Also lies about me being listed seller on the back, I was listed as the buyer. No acknowledgment of the other things I listed that they messed up. Also lien release letter was not needed since title of car stated no liens recorded. All I needed was bill of sale and odometer statement from last seller in order for Bronx Chevrolet to buy my car. If Kia City took their time to review their options they would have seen that. Again a shoddy business w/ poor customer service. Do not go there at all costs! Julio was very helpful especially when I went in there mad at the world but he manage to get me some clarification on things from the last vehicle to my next vehicle. He is a very funny and comic person but he gets down to work when itโs that time. ๐
Sal he seen me come in there in all attitudes and at the end he made sure he found a vehicle that would like and would enjoy and I was a happy customer with the help of everyone else. But he is a very humble and calm person when dealing with customer that have the same attitude as me never took himself out of character. ๐
My sales person Pamela was very helpful she would help me no matter if she was in the office or outside of the office. She follow up and stay in communication to make sure everything was going good ๐. Pamela understood where I came from and was always with a positive attitude very welcoming if I was able to go in I would say a story of how good she is ๐.
Chris from finance was very upfront when it. And to giving the details and of the contracts. He didnโt sugar code anything. He would also follow up to see how process is going when things are missing.
The use vehicle manager Aj was very helpful as well made sure that things was good when it came to the completion of the transaction. ๐
I would apologize a million time for the way I was but I was just going though a lot with my car. At the end of it all I left happy ๐ and I just want to thank every one that was involve in my purchase.๐๐๐
