What? Wonder Playhouse is an indoor playground based in Corona, Queens. Their website states it’s suitable for children 12 and younger. It’s a very roomy playspace with so many toys and attractions, including a huge soft play area complete with slides, trampolines, tons of ride-on toys, a block sandpit, playhouses, dress up outfits, a LEGO wall and so much more. It seemed like this place really did have everything to keep children entertained.
Where? The address is 5906 99th Street in Queens, which is in Corona, but very close to the areas of Elmhurst and Rego Park. The nearest accessible subway stations are Jackson Heights (E/F/R) or Forest Hills (also E/F/R). Both still require a long walk or a bus. I ended up getting the subway to Forest Hills and then a bus (Q23) then a 10 minute walk! This was definitely not the easiest place to get to from Manhattan, although I did get a nap on the way back!
When? Monday to Thursday 10am to 7pm and Friday, Saturday, Sundays and holidays it’s open an extra hour until 8pm. Amazing hours!
Cost? $15 for one hour play. It’s $20 for two hours. Or you can even pay $30 for the whole day! Any additional adults with you will need to pay an extra $10 too.
Our Rating - 8/10. This was an amazing playspace that’s been on my list for a while! I’m so glad I finally visited. Darcy absolutely loved it, and she could’ve easily stayed there all day. It’s a shame it’s so far for us to get to, but I’m sure it’s much easier for anyone living in Queens. It wasn’t the cleanest playspace I’ve been too but I could easily overlook this with the abundance of things there to keep Darcy entertained!
Anything else? They sell snacks and drinks, and they even have an arcade machine and some toys for sale.

Read moreToo expensive. Management was terrible. The toys and snacks are a complete scam. They costed more than they were actually worth. The owner just sell them to make more money. Trust me I heard him saying it. If you are at all smart, don’t buy them for your children even if they keep on asking if you could buy it for them. Just go something else to buy the toys and snacks instead. For example, I went to the counter to buy a keychain for my kid and they told me that it was $4. Seriously $4 for a small keychain that was for kids?? It’s worse when you don’t have any cash on you. Don’t try buy anything that is a total of less than $10 and try to paid with a card because the employee there, will just try to force you to buy more item so it will reach $10 or more. Then you could pay with card.
Whenever there seemed to be a new employee, they would train the employee, but I saw that they still struggled. One customer was very rude to the new employee saying that they were not good at math and that employee was counting the money because that customer gave coins, but that customer kept in giving more money out of his pocket while that employee was still counting.
The owner was very bias between new and old employees. I saw that he was acting passive aggressively to the new employee. He was way nicer to the old employee. I mean what’s wrong with him. The owner just didn’t like that new employee because he didn’t say much. The owner should’ve cut that employee some slack. That new employee just wouldn’t that close to the owner yet, so naturally there wasn’t a conservation going to happen. The work environment...
Read moreI took my young son here on an early afternoon and I am definitely going to bring him back. The prices are fair and there's enough to do that the two hours breezed by without a single moment of boredom.
But I have to say, the customer service really stands out here. The workers are constantly cleaning up and working hard to maintain the play area, and you can tell that they make cleanliness a priority. Even better, is how patient they are. Usually when you go to places like these, the workers are usually cranky (to be fair, it is hard to work with kids). But workers Tiffany and David were very humble, respectful, and kind to myself, other adults, and the kids.
One more great thing to say about this place--I was playing with my son when I realized shortly after that I lost my headphones. I spoke to Tiffany and she seemed genuinely determined to help me find them. After two attempts, she said she would call me as soon as she found them. Surely enough, Tiffany called me back within the hour and kept them safely for me until I could go back to pick them up.
Thank you for your dedication, hard work, and genuine show of kindness towards children! I wish you continued...
