Just to clarify things, this review has no hateful or harmful intentions towards this place. That being said, I hope you take this as an informative review. 1. Atmosphere: It can be quite crowded at times, which makes it a bit hard to move around and even order because of the noise. On the other hand, it can be calm when it is not busy. 2. Service: Everyone is human, and all of us can have rough mornings or days as a whole. So, I can understand if the ladies are not in their good moods at certain times of the day. I can confirm that I have not felt disrespected at any time. They are great when they are in a good mood. 3. Food: The food is good, not great or horrible, it is good. If you are around and want to have a quick Latin American bite, this is a good place. Their chicken has the right seasoning, not too salty or overwhelming seasoned. 4. Price: Prices are actually fair, I can't complain.

I got large soup 2 corn bread and coffee costs me 20$. There prices always up and down I get same stuff most of the time. It’s never the same price. They put gratitude without you knowing. They are practically stealing money of from you. I have been going there once a week because the food tastes good. I gave them one star because today the soup had two small pieces of chicken and counted 7 small pieces of potatoes and 2 carrots and all soup. Literally little bit of stuff with half cup of liquid in it. And cold coffee. 2 corn bread for 20$. Otherwise I wouldn’t have rated them.

Stopped here to get an evening snack or possibly dinner, options were a bit limited at the hot bar around 7:30pm hence I ended up ordering the pre-made empanadas. I tried all three; pollo, carne and queso. Cheese on wheat dough was the best, it had a generous amount of cheese and the wheat pastry was flaky enough that gave the empanadas a nice unexpected crunch. People that work here are generally polite and efficient.

Edit 1/10/23: Wanted to add the owners reply as a photo for folks to see an example of the service.

Edit 9/12/22: I finally got food from this place! Service is still horrible, as I was ordering food a woman came in and just shouted her order, the person helping me started a conversation with her. Unbelievable! I raised my voice and finished ordering but the worker asked me to repeat what I wanted. #Facepalm

So, the pernil with rice, beans and plantains was good! The rice pudding tasted like soap, the empanadas and mini arepas where crusty and dry (days old?). Overall, I rather get pernil from the dominicans down on 99st. Would definitely not ever try to get food here again. Would not recommend.

Original review: I have been here three times in the last four months and have had the same negative experience with the workers. There is no line, so if you come in and wait to be served, the workers behind the counter will just randomly help whoever is closest to them. If you do manage to get their attention they will walk away if you don’t give them an order. I asked one of them if they were still serving breakfast and she said yes, then walked away to help someone else. On a different occasion I asked a worker if the bandeja came with sausage along with the chicharrón and steak, she said “I don’t know, I’ll have to ask” then walked away to help someone else. I’ve yet to taste the food because no one has ever taken my order. Even when the place is empty the workers are busy doing something else with their backs turned to the counter. People will randomly walk in and yell out their orders and the workers say “ok!” I find this process chaotic and prefer to go down to the Colombian restaurant down on 55 ave and 99th street where you can stand online, order, pay, and...

In this place the women who serve are very dishonest. One orders, for example, eight empanadas and in the shopping bag they only put seven, or six empanadas and they charge you for the eight empanadas. These women who serve this place also don't like giving change to customers. When they receive payment, they act oblivious to the clients' change, making it obligatory for one to have to give it to them. They do not ask the client if they can keep the change, they do it blatantly. They force the client to give them the change and when the client waits for the change they ignore the client and get upset and look down on the clients for not being able to keep other people's money. Be careful when going to this place, because they do not give you the complete order and refuse to give you change, that is called theft, scam. Another dishonest practice used by the people who serve at this site is that each woman who serves at this place charges or assigns different prices for the same product. Ladies, ask if you can keep other people's money and set an exact price for each product. Don't be so dishonest. I also ended up adding that sometimes the place smells very bad. There is a trash can in the front or on the side of the place where they display the food. That trash can gives off an unpleasant smell. That's not healthy! @OSHA should carry out a thorough inspection of that place, they would surely find very interesting things, for example in the kitchen or place where food is prepared. Think twice before going there. Bad customer service, dirty and neglected place, dishonest aptitude of the employees who serve. If you want to go to a good Colombian bakery, visit La Colombianita Bakery, which is located at 108-37 Corona...
