The wife and I needed a little getaway so I went on one of these online booking sites and came up with this little gem. Check in was a pleasant experience and took all of about 5 minutes, they have a small bar and grill as well as a Starbucks and gym on-site, you can also pick up snacks and drinks at the front desk. The rooms are beautiful but small from what I can tell this place can't be more then a year or two old, our room was very clean and pleasant smelling and came with two full beds which I can confirm that the mattress is like sleeping on a cloud the pillows are top notch as well ( I usually bring my special pillow on trips, but didn't use it due to the hotels pillows being Superior to mine) The bathroom is huge and nicely lit, the wife really appreciates a big mirror with the right lighting =} The room had a safe, small coffee maker but no mini fridge and really the only other thing I could complain about was the lack of water pressure and no shower wand other then that this place was perfect, all the staff from the front desk to the housekeeping staff are super friendly and helpful. Location location location, close to everything 15 minutes to Manhattan by train 40 minutes to 2 hours to New Jersey ( by car )depending on day of week and time, if you stay local you can find whatever you need restaurants covering every type of food you can imagine, and clubs catering to all tastes and every type of shopping from Dollar store to super expensive luxury shopes are within 20-30 minutes of the hotel. So too sum it up this is a great hotel with very reasonable prices and I can't recommend this place enough.

We stayed at Wyndham Garden South LGA on Tuesday 4/18- Wednesday 4/19. When we checked in late 7-7:30pm we went to our room and noticed a huge hole/divet in our bed in room 302. We complained to the front desk and they apologized as they had no other room available and said maintenance was aware of this issue and should have looked into the mattress. I don’t know why they continue putting guest in this room! After a long day walking in NYC during vacation we had no choice but to sleep in a hole/divet and my back was very sore the next day. On top of the uncomfortable sleeping conditions to our surprise had no running water from 11pm-6am, unable to shower/wash face/brush teeth before bed nor wash our hands after using the restroom which was not a good feeling. The front desk never communicated to us that the water would not be running or we would have immediately found a different hotel. Signs in front of elevator and in elevator going up to the rooms clearly said Monday no water so we did not think of asking. Tuesday at check out I took pictures of the sign which I posted here. We were told 4/19 at check out a manager would be in touch and I have since called twice each time being told a manager would reach out. It is now 4/25 and I have yet to hear from management. I don’t recommend this establishment to anyone especially due to the lack of follow up from management for an unsatisfied guest.

I had a horrible time at this location. Starting from the end, I was out all day working and came back to my room at about 8pm. Upon entering the room, I noticed that a curtain rod was on the floor near the back door to the room (that leads to a shared terrace). I immediately went to the back door and found the lock was not working. Freaked out, I called the front desk and asked to be moved. They reported there were no other rooms available and maintenance wouldn't come in until the next day. I said that was unacceptable, they called the manager, and reported to me that he said I should "brave it" that night. The front desk person was on his first day of work. I immediately left, told the front desk person to have the manager call me, he still has not. Just complete disrespect for their customers. Much less important, but I booked the room in part because they said there was free parking at the location. When I arrived, it wasn't clear where to park. When I checked in they told me no parking was available because the lot was flooded. I asked where I could park and they said I could find a spot on the street (there was none available and it was only 2 hour parking anyway). I ended up paying for parking a few blocks away. Oh, also the shower took about 10 minutes to have any hot water. Don't stay here.

Pros: employees were nice and helped us willingly. Room was decent enough, ok for short stayings. Burger King and Starbucks next door.

Cons: Internet wifi doesn't work and when it does, the connection is super slow. Came here for business, I had to update a software, it took 3h to get the software updated. They state "fast connection", but it's false advertisement. When wifi works, you can barely read your emails. You can't even use a Hotspot with your phone due to the poor signal in the area. Man, it's NYC 2023! Unacceptable.

Hotel is very run down. The cleaning level of the room is "ok", even if you can see a lot of dust and other debris in different spots that clearly have not been cleaned for months: like behind the door, on the top of the lamps, on the curtains and lamp covers... You can see fingerprints on the mirror frame when backlit.

If you have dust allergy, you'll probably start sneezing after a while.

We came in, a portrait was crooked, a bedside lamp was broken, shampoos and soaps were opened and clearly used, there was no "don't disturb" sign and there were no shower towels. So, the room presentation was really bad.

I found hair on multiple towels which were supposed to be clean.

The shower has a very bad design. It has a fixed water shield that covers only half of the space, so when you shower the water pours outside.

The bed was a double instead of a queen size as falsely advertised.

The AC is placed next to the desk and there is no way to change the direction of the air flow. So, you can't work with the AC on, otherwise you risk getting a stomachache due to the cold air constantly shot towards your belly.

The room has a sliding door on the hotel balcony. Even if you have curtains, if someone comes close enough, they can see inside.

You can see the old carpet still mounted on the side of the walls and part of it is stained.

The room has poor sound proofing, you can hear people in the hallway loud and clear.

Overall, the room is very poorly designed and presented.

The gym is the Retro Fitness next door which is, I believe, one of the most run down gym I ever trained in the US. The direct access from the hotel is locked, so you literally have to walk around the block to get inside. Toilets are out of service, equipment is very run down and some machines are broken. It is very crowded with no cleaning wipes available. There is no trainer around, so people put the equipment all over (in the wrong place).

They advertise that they clean the room only if you tell them, however at 9am: tocktocktock. They were entering the room anyway. Clearly bad management here.

In general, I recommend this place for very short stayings, 1 or max 2 nights.

If you need Internet, forget it,...

This hotel does not even deserve one star. It is filled with filth, liars, and stealers! My husband and I stayed there last weekend sept 22-24. The first night we got in there were spiders all over the bathroom. We asked to be changed they stated they would “have to check” if there were any rooms because they were sold out (which was a lie I checked online there was still availability) they were able to change the room within minutes, so clearly they were not sold out- LIE! Next when we checked out I was rushing and clearly remembered leaving my husbands shirt hanging in the closet. When I called to speak to someone they said nothing was found which is impossible unless they didn’t check the room and the following guest took the shirt. I asked to speak to the front desk manager they said he would call me back. His name is ALEC -When he did he immediately insinuated that I was lying because he “checked the room” - the room he checked was the one we moved out from not the new room. Then proceeded to tell me that I need to reach the housekeeping manager before the month was over because he cannot help me and will be out of town, Basically making me feel like I am being kicked to the curb and to reach someone else who was in a “meeting”. Instead of taking my contact information since I am the guest, completely handled the situation wrong I am so upset I will never ever stay somewhere like this that does not care about their guests and helping them. The house keeping department probably STOLE a brand new expensive Prada shirt that was just given to my husband as a gift and they don’t want to be honest about it or even check any cameras or anything to find a solution. COMPLETELY DISGUSTED! You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. I have worked in customer service all my life and even when the customer is wrong you still manage a way to diffuse the situation not make it worse and try to comfort and find a resolution. This man did not care and was really acting like it which made me even more upset! So so...
