good place for the LIRR - not as pricey and distance is great (about 30 minutes to either grand central or penn). parking space is available and it's usually not hard to find, but you will run into times where it is.. and then you'll start panicking because there is not much other immediate parking spots unless you want to walk 5-15 minutes back to the station.
Also cops need to stop taking parking spots while sitting in their car on their phone. Ya'll can street park just fine and not get ticketed. I missed my train the other day because I couldn't find parking and one cop just sat there in a viable...

You have direct service into Penn Station every 30 minutes during the weekdays and the weekends when trackwork isn't going on. Plus the ride is only 31/33 minutes to/from Penn Station.
