Manager and I'm assuming the assistant manager were extremely rude! I bought a clock and when I went home to open it, it was broken in the back. I went to return it and the cashier called (I'm assuming the assistant manager Idk). She came over with an attitude and said "we can't take this." I said I bought it here and it was already broken. She replied, "don't be rude with me, I wasn't rude with you".... No one was being rude.
She then gets upset and calls the manager. I'm thinking, 'okay the manager must be reasonable, everything will be resolved.' But she comes over, takes the clock looks at it and tosses it on the table and says "we can't sell that." But they sold it that way to me! She was being rude and telling me "that's how it arrived packaged from the manufacturer" I wasn't even asking about that. I was saying how the back of the clock was covered so I didn't see the damage until I got home and opened it! They are the ones selling damaged items! She then gets frustrated or something and says "I don't have time for this." Is this not part of your job? Customer service? Returns? Thankfully, she told the cashier to give me the refund cause she couldn't be bothered but I am never shopping here again.
I am probably the most non confrontational person to exist so I didn't say much and just kept quiet answering their questions and apparently I was 'rude'. I understand that it may have been partially my fault for not checking the item fully, and I would have been okay if they didn't give me the refund but they were so rude and condescending. I won't be shopping here ever again and advise you not to do so either.
The cashier was super nice. Feel bad that she had to work with...
Read moreMarshals is a place for good shopping. Each day, they have something new and good. Each season you will find its items like Christmas, Thanksgiving, Fourth of July..ect. It's a store with a lot of good stuffs to buy. Marshall is a place where you cannot leave it without buying something and it's impossible!! There are some workers are very helpful and professionals. But some, they are very rude and liars. They can just guess a price number without even check it in the aisle. Their job is to go back to the aisle and to bring a similar item to the one you want to purchase. It happened to me with a lazy work in the aisle, the cashier called her to check the price and without even going to back to bring a similar item, she invented a price of $19.99 ??? But the original price was $12.99. I was not such a lazy customer and I went back to the aisle to bring a similar item and the cashier scanned it without that extra price that the worker have her. An advice, NEVER, take an item without a price tag otherwise, you will meet an inventor worker for giving any number!! Shame on her!! I could report her to her manager but I didn't want to put her in trouble. Also, another bad experience of a staff who pretended to be the manager when I asked about the manager to fix a problem. She was a cashier and she told me she was the manager. when I insisted to talk to the manager she called another cashier and she said she was the MANAGER!! Those kind of workers make the business goes slow and down. They give a bad idea if of Marshall's store and its workers. Fortunately, I didn't pay attention to them because they were immature persons and they would not change my love to that...
