Worst museum experience in my life. First of all there is nothing to see in the museum, don’t waste your money, they will just be showing you VIDEOS of the actual museum. There is also another room you have to go into from the outside, that no one told us about. The VR room is extremely hot and impossible to stay in.

When I called to ask for a refund, since it was not a good experience and I didn’t expect there to be nothing to see, the manager Stephanie called me mean and that I am just lying to try and get my money back. She told me to come back in again, and when I said I live in Jersey City and not looking forward to travel to Manhattan for an experience I didn’t enjoy at all the first time, she told me she also lives in Jersey City and comes in to work everyday so it’s not a big deal.

She also said I am “threatening” them with leaving a “bad review” on google.

They hyped this up as a “must-see” immersive dive into ancient Chinese wonders, and I left feeling like I’d just attended the virtual funeral for any ounce of curiosity I had about ancient civilizations.

The artifacts themselves were just scattered around with zero thought. Then came the “interactive” segment, which was just laughable. They gave you these VR controllers to “move artifacts around,” but all they did was wobble like cheap plastic in a breeze.

If you’re thinking of checking it out, do yourself a favor and just Google some pictures of the Sanxingdui...

Cool exhibition with VR experience. A good way to get a sneak peek of the mysterious Chinese San xing dui civilization: a culture with gold,m masks people once guessed made by alien. Amazing how people in thousands years ago able to make such exquisite craftsmanship. The building is also historical and...
