Extremely wonderful dining experience. Although I chose this small restaurant just because it is close to subway station, the authentic Thai food really attracts me. Food: Papaya salad is very fresh and healthy, accompanied with large amount of sour and spicy sauces. However, I found that all of the long green beans are raw. Due to the fear of poison, I didn't eat them. Chicken Basil Rice is wonderful. It has a combination of spice and flavor, and Thai basil is the MVP. But the amount of rice is a little bit low. If you grow in spicy areas like Mexico, Chinese Sichuan or Thailand, the spicy food can really bring great joyness. However, if you are not a vertern of enjoying spicy, I suggest that median spicy is enough.
Service: The restaurant owner and chef are Thai. Service is usually In time, but as if they're hinting at you to finish eating and leave quickly. However, it can be understood because there are not many locations inside the restaurant. They also proactively provided me with disposable chopsticks.
Price: Reasonable...
Read moreWe sat in the outside dining space which was very well decorated and super aesthetic. Perfect for taking pictures!
One of the plates came dirty with something stuck onto it and the staff couldn’t hear me calling her because she was on her way indoors. I just tried to pick it off and clean the plate to the best of my ability. That was the main reason why I took off a star.
We ordered a Vegetable Pad Thai, Gai Ga Tiem, Mock-Duck Salad, and Lychee Thai Tea.
Vegetable Pad Thai: 4.5/5 very fragrant perfect balance of sweet and savory
Gai Ga Tiem: 3/5 chicken was a little dry but still flavorful (probably over cooked) broccoli was bland and dry came with a red sauce that tastes great when mixed with the rice and chicken (also makes the dish less dry)
Mock-Duck Salad: 4/5 sweet and spicy mock duck tasted like tofu with the texture of fish cake slightly crispy was a little too sweet for my liking
Lychee Thai Tea: 5/5 tea is not too sweet very refreshing the lychee was very...
Read moreCame here for the first time. I was trying to come last week, but there was a huge line so I gave up. Today, I came early around 5pm to order for takeout for pick up later. I got a pad see-ew with shrimps and a pad see-ew with beef, a green curry and a basil fried rice with chicken.
First of all, they didn’t pack the green curry well, it was spilled all over the bag. Good thing they gave me a plastic bag, otherwise it would have made a huge mess!
Secondly, the food was just okay. Let’s begin with green curry. It was spicy enough. It had nice amount of chicken. The flavor was nice, but the bamboo shoots were too fibrous, and the eggplant was too bitter.
I didn’t taste any basil flavor in the basil fried rice, and it was kind of bland.
The pad see-ew with shrimp and with beef were both too salty and too oily. The shrimps were a bit overcooked, too.
Overall, it was okay. I might come back and try their food in the restaurant. Maybe it tastes better right out of...
