My review pertains only to the actual attraction itself, not the politics surrounding it, which I unfortunately do not know much about. However, just because I'm ignorant on this subject doesn't mean those objections aren't valid, so please keep that in mind.
As to the Temple itself, this was my absolute favorite part of the Met when I was growing up. The room itself is awe-inspiring and the ability to do a mini-tour rather than just admiring a piece from afar was thrilling. I'd suggest going on a sunny day if possible as the sun streaming through the atrium is magical. As an adult, my opinion has not changed. I could sit in here for hours, enjoying the sun and people-watching. Definitely a must-see...
