If I could give 0 stars I would. Some staff is nice but majority is just stuck up, arrogant and crooks. I bought my GLE 350 2021 in May of 2021. Love the car aside from the fact that months later I woke up for work and the car wouldn't start. I called on star & they sent someone to my home who jumped my car but the car would still not turn on. He then towed it to Mercedes of bayside and they called me a few days later stating the battery had been drained but they charged it and it's all good to go and to come pick it up. The car is brand new and so is the battery, how is the battery drained & if so it would have started as soon as it was jumped from the beginning, made no sense but okay. I get the car back & a few days later the car turns off in the middle of a busy intersection, SURPRISE. The car was then picked up and taken to Mercedes of Brooklyn and was held for a MONTH with no rental car to give me. So I'm paying $925 month for a brand new car that now has issues (that I didn't cause) and I don't even have a rental to get to work. Can you Imagine if I missed a payment or two the phone calls id be getting? That car would be picked up in no time. Loyal Mercedes owner btw for 11+ years with automatic payments made, not a single payment has ever been missed. This is my 4th lease. Fast forward they call me that some wire on the starter was not connected correctly LOL BRAND NEW CAR (LEASE) didn't have a wire connected correctly to the starter. No biggie. Just that I pay $925 a month for a car that just stopped in the middle of a busy intersection and caused me to almost get into an accident. FAST forward the car has been running fine thank god. I go for service (A) last year May 16, 2023 my bill was $1383.63 of course they added all their crooked services on there. If you don't know about cars you will fall for it. Unfortunately they had already done the work before giving me an estimate so I had no choice but to pay. Break test was done, front and rear breaks and rotors were checked. All was good. 2 months later my break light kept turning on and off, strange right? I just did service 2 months ago. I call to make an appointment in august, I couldn't get one till October 5th, 2023. I drop the car off and explain I was just here a few months ago for service A , they said we will check it out. The next day I get a text with a quote of $2627.14 LOL jokes. Break pads and rotors (only front) $1567.18, HVAC system cleaning $255.98, fuel induction service $289.91 , Fuel Injection cleaning service $299.91. If you know about cars you know what a joke the last 3 services are and to be charged that kind of money for them. Also if I was just there for service A a few months ago where did this all come from? Didn't you just perform break tests 2 months ago? I put 2k miles on the car after its service (A) 2 months later the break light comes on? So now id be paying $4000 for services in a matter of 3 months for a brand new car with not even 20k miles on it in 2 years. I did not proceed of course and still had to pay $190.53 bc they 'looked at the car" LOL jokes. I took my car to a certified technician and saved myself more than half of what I would have paid here. This place is a complete rip off, make sure you do your research and you know about cars. Most people know dealers and services departments are crooks and will try to make money off of you but Mercedes of Brooklyn specifically takes the throne. Love Mercedes cars but after the money i've spent here for service i'm better off going to BMW where they give free service and maintenance for your entire lease. Mercedes dealers and service departments here in NY are not what they used to be. They have become crooked and thats coming from a loyal customer of 11 plus years, who is now complaining for the first time after all i've encountered with this lease. Counting down the days to give the car back. Let me also add they charged me for an inspection ticket that I got on their rental cr bc their inspection was expired and then I had to call them and fight them...
Read moreI recently went to Brooklyn Mercedes Benz on Shore parkway to inquire on a GLC 300. After test driving the vehicle with associate aleysha , I decided this was the car I wanted. I called up Brooklyn Mercedes the next day. Aleysha was not there. I spoke with Ken and I told him that I was offered lower prices at another Benz dealership. He asked me what number he had to beat to earn my business so I told him the exact deal that the other facility offered. He then gave me a deal that was 20 dollars less per month than what I had! I was very thrilled! I was ready to move forward with the deal. He even asked if I can pick up the car the next day and I said absolutely! The manager then called me and asked how she can help me. I asked her if she can add the Amex incentive and then she stated that they cannot give me the deal that Ken offered bc it does not exist!! She then went on to say that the sales associate does not give prices, only the manager does. This made absolutely no sense. I told her if that’s the case why do you have sales associates, if they don’t talk numbers. This is not my first time leasing a vehicle and everyone knows the sales associate quotes the deal and the manager comes for assistance, if needed.
This was extremely unprofessional, having one person quote you a price and then having the manager say no and actually increase the price! I never heard of this!! I also work long hours and having to waste all this time on something that should have never happened was inconvenient. I told the manager to listen to the recorded phone call between me and Ken and hear that he told me And quoted me that price. She said she would but never got back to me. The next day the first associate that I had worked with named Aleysha called me to follow up as she was the associate that I worked with for the test drive. She asked me how she can help. I explained to her the situation and told her that I was waiting for a call from the manager which never came. Aleysha said she would look into the deal and again never got back to me. I waited two days.
I do not recommend coming to Mercedes Benz Brooklyn for sales. Unless you want to have your time wasted and an unprofessional experience then I would come here. They don’t respect people time and they do not stand by their word. They will quote you a price then once you are ready to sign. The manager will come and increase the prices They are very unprofessional and do not stand by their word. I am very disappointed. Do...
Read moreI brought my Mercedes to Mercedes-Benz Brooklyn on April 9th because of an electrical issue that prevented the car from starting. Their own towing service picked it up and delivered it to the dealership. I paid $544.36 for the initial diagnostic, with the expectation of timely communication and a professional resolution.
Instead, I heard nothing for almost two weeks. I had to repeatedly reach out on my own just to get any updates. Eventually, on April 22nd or 23rd, I was informed that a second, more invasive diagnostic would be required. The cost for this was quoted at an additional $1,199 just to “look into” the problem, without actually fixing anything.
At that point I declined and arranged for the vehicle to be towed back. To my surprise, the towing driver was able to start the car and drive it out of their facility, something the dealership never once communicated to me. Worse, when the vehicle was returned to me, the interior was disassembled, wires were exposed, and my dashboard showed multiple warning lights that were not present before. When I dropped the car off, the only minor warning was for tire pressure. When I got it back, I was faced with check engine and numerous other errors.
I escalated the issue through management. First a manager (Jerry Suarez), then the director (Scott McVay), acknowledged the situation. By email, their own representative admitted fault and offered alternative resolutions. I requested only a partial refund of $250 from the diagnostic fee and for my car to be returned in the same condition it was received — nothing more. Yet the dealership refused to follow through. Later, Vice President (Will Berardino) denied responsibility altogether, contradicting their earlier written admission.
In the end, the dealership kept my money, returned my car in worse shape than I delivered it, and failed to provide even basic transparency. Because of their handling, I’ve incurred over $3,000 in additional expenses.
My experience shows a clear lack of communication, accountability, and respect for the customer. Be extremely cautious when dealing with this dealership. If they recommend expensive additional diagnostics or parts, question whether it is...
