Modern Market — Attraction in New York

The standards in this supermarket is beyond subpar. The meats are NOT fresh. In most cases the meats are wrapped twice just so you can't smell how off it is. If you're lucky to get some meat that doesn't smell, you have to use it that day. Prices in that store are way too expensive. Vegetables are old, bread for the most part is out dated. They'll have something on sale and it either not be there or when you bring it up to the counter,they'll tell you it's not that one. In which case your only choice is to buy it anyway or forget it altogether. It's ashame that supermarkets are allowed to operate in such conditions. Neighborhoods need these stores but they should have better standards or...

I like this store. The prices aren't the greatest, but the store is clean and there's a good enough selection to run in and grab something for dinner. The Staff is helpful enough and thiugh i read another review stating that the people dont speak English, everyone I've encountered spoke English well enough to do their job (that's all I need really. We don't have to have a convo, just guide me to the bread aisle). I would not to bulk shopping for the family here, due to the prices, but the layout is nice and inviting. The little cashier girls never have a pleasant face/attitude. Maybe they need to be taught true customer service. They talk AT you and act as if you’re bothering them. It’s not just one. It’s all of them. Especially the two short ones with the glasses. Make sure you speak Spanish, if you don’t then you will definitely experience an attitude. Get another job if working with customers bother you. I only shop for specific items. I never feel the need to stay in that store longer than needed. Make sure you really check your items, especially if you get fruit or meat that isn’t frozen. Just go somewhere else if you can help it. This store is...
