10/10 for people because the people are awesome here!! Hard working city workers and business owners who care about each other and the community.
2/10 facilities. Honestly, since the new ownership took over the place isn’t as clean as it used to be and the facilities upgrade that the new owners promised would happen in early April, hasn’t happened yet. They billed everybody in December for an annual charge but nobody knows what that’s gone to.
4/10 equipment. The machines are outdated and cables seem to break every other month. It’s annoying that for a commercial gym it runs like the old retro on hylan that just closed up. The place needs true deadlifting stations, better safety equipment, and get rid of like 80% of the old machines and invest in new stuff.
1/10 trust in ownership. Again, this feels like what happened to the retro on hylan when the owners just stopped caring and didn’t give a damn about members (just their $$). The AC has been broken for almost 2 months, and the owner said the part is here yet it’s still not fixed. The upper floor doesn’t have accessible windows so the hot air just accumulates and doesn’t escape. There’s no justifiable reason for this to have not been fixed by now. When clients have asked the owner what’s going on his response is basically gaslighting us saying it’s gunna be fixed or the part isn’t available etc. ownership never put out a memo informing clients of the situation, didn’t offer long time members a discount on shakes or even small reduction in membership fees until it’s fixed… literally nothing! That’s not how this client base is to be treated. Without proper ventilation this is likely a health code violation and that will have to be addressed asap.
If you’re looking for a gym in this area I would hold off until they’ve made the upgrades they promised and they can GUARANTEE YOU they will fix equipment in a timely fashion. If they can’t do that it might be time for somebody to step up and offer an alternative to this place and something tells me that’s on the...
Read moreOver the past year, I have had the incredible opportunity to work with my trainer, Derek. His approach to fitness and health has not only transformed my body but also reshaped my understanding of nutrition and wellness. Unlike many trainers who focus solely on weight loss, Derek emphasizes a holistic approach that encompasses various aspects of health.
Derek’s philosophy is rooted in the belief that true health goes beyond just shedding pounds. He has educated me on the importance of food choices, nutritional balance, and how these elements contribute to overall well-being. This understanding has empowered me to make informed decisions about what I eat, leading to sustainable lifestyle changes rather than temporary fixes.
In addition to nutrition, Derek places significant emphasis on recovery and inner healing. He recognizes that physical fitness is intertwined with mental and emotional health. Through his guidance, I have learned techniques for recovery that not only aid in muscle repair but also promote mental clarity and emotional resilience. This comprehensive approach has been crucial in managing the stresses associated with weight loss.
One of the standout qualities of Derek is his kindness and passion for helping others. His patience during challenging moments has made a significant difference in my journey. Weight loss can be a stressful process, filled with ups and downs; having a supportive professional like Derek by my side has made all the difference. His non-toxic approach creates an environment where I feel safe to express my struggles without fear of judgment.
I cannot thank Derek enough for everything he has done for me over this past year. His dedication to his clients is evident in every session we have together. Muscle Gym f/n/a Push is indeed fortunate to have such a talented trainer on their team. Thank you, Derek, for your unwavering support and guidance as I continue on this journey toward...
Read moreMr. Bennett, Tom. I’m sorry your review makes no sense. You said that we were not letting your wife in, but then we turned around and sold you a membership so you can accompany her. A complete contradiction.
We have accommodated your wife through her illness and been Very compassionate. Unfortunately, for liability purposes, you would obviously need to have a gym membership so you can walk around with her because if you got hurt, it could affect us as a business and that is normal business practice.
When other members of the gym are using machines, and in the middle of their set, it’s not courteous to walk up to them and ask them to use the machine while they’re in the middle of a set. You need to wait till they’re done then you can ask your wife to work in or go after. Challenging other members and getting physical is not the way to go.
Hopefully the disrespect can stop here and we can continue to have you as a member...
