I urge you to stay away from this location because management and security treat you beneath Hell. I entered the store and noticed a special price for a produce item. Once I completed my shopping and exited, I realized they didn’t honor the advertised price for that specific produce. I took the item back and returned to the store to confirm the price only to be followed by security asking me if those items are mine whom I replied to “Yes” and “I returned to confirm price and adjust.” He told me to leave items at entrance on food belt and I returned to the produce only to discover the price has been removed and changed. I confirmed with produce staff who mentioned they changed price and to adjust with management. I returned to management with my bag and explained the situation which they didn’t honor and didn’t believe me that the previous price I saw was correct only to argue with me. For me, it wasn’t about $2 difference. It was about MORAL STANDARDS, ETHICS and VALUES. The entire managing team seemed against me. If it’s a mistake, accept it and honor it. Review your cameras on the price switch. The produce staff was silent when manager aggressively approached afraid to acknowledge the price change, perhaps a mistake and in fear of job loss. Ultimately, I decided to keep the produce items. I left them in the car this time and decided a final chance at proving the situation. I returned to request for the previous sale sign in order to take a photo, again to be followed by security telling me I cannot take photos in the store. Basically bullying me and treating me other than a good customer. I was unsuccessful in requesting the sign, partially because of language barrier and perhaps that it was thrown out. I left the store. WHAT’S UNSETTLING IS THE STORE VIOLATES RULES AND REGULATIONS BECAUSE THE IN-STORE SECURITY GUARD WAS IN VIOLATION OF LAW BY NOT WEARING A MASK/FACE COVERING DURING A PANDEMIC IN A PUBLIC CROWDED AREA AND THE SUPERMARKET STILL USES PLASTIC BAGS. Ultimately, Karma has its ways against the individuals.
(* Starting March 1, 2020, single-use plastic bags are banned, with limited exceptions, in New York State. In addition, businesses will begin collecting a five-cent fee on paper carryout bags in New York City. NOTE: This fee will not apply to any customers using...
Read moreI am writing to express my concern regarding a disappointing experience I had during a recent visit to your store.
I came in yesterday to purchase a few items and proceeded to the checkout lane, where an employee named Zarina was assisting an elderly customer. While situations involving senior customers typically require patience and understanding, Zarina had the opposite demeanor, sighing loudly, rolling her eyes, and appearing visibly frustrated.
When it was my turn, her attitude did not improve. She scanned my items and informed me of the total. I then politely asked if I could enter my phone number to apply any eligible discounts. Her response was a firm “No.” Believing there may have been a misunderstanding, I asked again, only to receive the same curt reply. I tried to clarify my request, at which point Zarina became visibly agitated and raised her voice, claiming that items not on sale were not eligible for any discounts via phone number. Even if that were the case, her aggressive tone was uncalled for. I moved to the next available register. The cashier greeted me kindly and asked for my phone number without hesitation. However, Zarina continued to behave inappropriately by making remarks about me in Ukrainian. I understand the language, and I was disappointed to hear such unprofessional commentary.
I hope NetCost Market takes customer service seriously. Experiences like this one leave a lasting negative impression and may drive loyal customers away. I know many individuals currently seeking employment who would bring a far more respectful and...
Read moreI was heading home from long day at work, and then I remembered that it was my baby girl's, Watermelondrea's, birthday today. I am a good cook and all, but it was not something I prepared for. Hear me out though. I drove off the Belt Pkwy super fast (I have turbo a charged dodge so pedal to the metal type of thing works) car. Got in to the huge parking lot with tons of space for my whip, and ran into the store. I thought of cooking lasagna and something good for desert. But my phone died so I had no idea what to buy, because I was panicking. One of the associates there, (his name was Guram), saw my scared and confused face and came up to me from his lunch break asking me what's wrong. I explained with the best to my shaky ability what I could. He said not to worry: he took out his phone, pulled out a piece of paper and pen to write down for me one of his grandmother's recipes for lasagna, and then walked me through the store helping me to find everything I needed for preparing the dish. On our way back, in the fruit aisle, I grabbed one of THE freshest and best tasting watermelon slices EVER. Totally worth the money. Guram cashed me out in a moment, and the total was $25.11 I took out the twenty I had in my wallet, the five bucks that I had hidden under my shoe sole (for emergency snacks), and scrambled for change in my back pocket to find only 3 cents. My man, Guram, covered the remaining 8 cent from his own wallet, saying "I gotchu".
That didn't just feel like shopping- it felt good. It felt...
