NEVER GO there on weekdays. The food is not fresh, cooks are not professional. Yesterday on Wednesday we went there and was fully disappointed and whole family got food poisoning. Plus they cheat you on the food and share your food with other people on the table while you pay for it. Let me explain:
The cook came and start show from throw squash in to mouth of people. He throw to one lady and that piece of squash jumps back to stove from her mouth. He repeats again 2 more times and all of these 3 pieces of squashes jump from her mouth with her saliva back to vegetables cooking for all. I lost interest in this food from the beginning, because I do not prefer to eat something after someone mouth. But I closed my eyes on that.
After he tried to brake the egg, but not successfully, had a lot of shells is going to rice and my husband cannot eat the rice with these crusty egg shell. I was lucky, didn’t get egg shell in my portion of rice.
The next cook did was drop paper with menu on the food and cannot to remove it.
After he start to cook orders including shrimps, lobster, salmon and 2 pieces of meat that he put close to seafood. As I know that is unacceptable to keep raw meat near seafood. He should cook first seafood and only after that cook the meat. Or at least separate them and put far enough to avoid blood of meat goes to seafood, but he cook it together with no spaces between seafood and meat. I believe that is one of the reasons why whole family got food poisoning yesterday.
But the TOP TRICK was when I ordered Single Shrimp Hibachi order, which should include double quantity of shrimps in total 16 pcs. And guess what happened? They gave 4 of my shrimps to other lady that didn’t order it, but was their customer long time. I received only 12 pieces instead of 16. That how they cheat you and try to be nice with their regular customers for your money. Just want to remind you that 16 pieces of shrimps cost $26, they grab me $6.50. Nice, right? When I start argue with them, they try to cheat me by saying that it includes 12 pcs only, but it is not truth and I also not the first time at this place. Even when you get combo - half of shrimp and half of something else - there are 8 pcs of shrimps as a half portion. But full portion become 12pcs???? So be ready to feed someone by your single order of shrimps. If you are new customer, but there will be their regular customer - be ready to share your food, but you will pay full for your received partial order.
And the funniest thing that my son pay attention is that this cook always swipe his nose by his calf in front of us. Terrible, terrible service.
The food was not so delicious as was before and what I see, there are no people in this restaurant as it was before. Last time we were on Sunday evening 5 weeks ago and there was just 2 full tables. No more waiting line as was before, years ago. I believe because of low quality food and bad service.
So think before you will go to them, especially on weekdays. I will bever go there anymore. Momoyama is not that as before. Yesterday I...
Read moreThe experience was awful mainly because of the rudeness of some of the staff. I was celebrating my birthday and honestly, I felt very unwelcomed and uncomfortable there. They have an immense amount of space but they cramp all the customers together in one corner so it would be easier to serve them. When we asked to move to a separate table, they refused, on the basis of the rules of the restaurant. Since it was my birthday and I didn't want to spoil the mood, I just decided to go with the crampness of the table. Three of the guests from my company were late for 10 minutes and this very rude woman was forcing us out of the restaurant because the chef was about to start cooking and other customers could be placed on that table. Fortunately for us, the three guests arrived just as she was about to throw us out. Then, the staff was always hurrying us to order, eat our food and leave. I was shocked because I never experienced such unpolitness and it was not like we were taking forever either. Throughout the dinner, I was forced to laugh the rudeness out so the guests wouldn't feel as uncomfortable as I did. In conclusion, the service was awful and definitely not worth the money we payed.
There were some good sides of the restaurant, there was this one man who tried to balance out the rudeness of some of the staff. The food was delicious so I would recommend to order online without experiencing the rudeness of the restaurant. The design of the interior was clean and modern. The hibachi chef could have been a little more entertaining but he was...
Read moreWhen we got there they seated us right away. Took our order when the chef came he had no personality. Very quiet. When I go to these places part of the reason I go there if for the show entertainment and the food. The presentation he was just going through the motions and not talking. Very disappointed. Then he started cooking. First was the fried rice which was stale it tasted hard and like plastic. When the chef gave us the bowl of rice he automatically turned it upside down o. Our plates. Why? I like to keep my rice on the side . Then he gave us the steak. I asked for filet and don't think it was. It was very tough. I asked for it medium rare and it was well. Then the chicken was extremely overcooked. And then the vegetables I always ask for them well done and never had the time to ask .before I k new it he was just throwing it on our plated without even asking g if we want it. We never got our sales which they asked us about at the beginning. We order 2 appetizers and had to ask for them 3 times before we got them in the middle of the meal . I had to keep asking for water. The waitress never came over to ask if we needed anything or if everything was ok . I had to ask for my kids ice-cream. BUT WHEN IT WAS TI.E FOR THE BILL THAT CAME RIGHT AWAY AND THEY WAITED FOR THE PAYMENT. they were not busy and there was plenty of empty tables. I now know why. Horrible food horrible customer service. Total...
