Never Enuff Fishing Fleet — Attraction in New York

Rounding up from 3.5 stars. Groupon purchase. They got us into fish (porgy), which was great, but the crew was not very professional… and a $20 p/p gratuity was pushed up front by CPT Mike which was uncomfortable and felt a little like a shakedown. The ‘mates work for tips’ verbiage seems a little disingenuous. If they earn a tip, great, otherwise the owner should be paying them more — don’t pretend like it’s the customer’s responsibility to pay their wage. As it was, they offer a fish cleaning service that’s tips-based, which is nice, cleaning the fish on the way back to port. I did not have my fish cleaned, so beyond a couple of pointers and putting some of water in the bucket to store the fish, the mate didn’t really do anything to earn the tip in my opinion. YMMV. Crew is a little rough around the edges, but fairly friendly. The older guy Nick was the best imo — affable and pleasant, and always jumping in to help. The young guy we were instructed to tip, Brandon, we hardly interacted with. He’s the one who cleans all the fish, though, and he works hard at it. Travel time was 90 min each way and we fished for maybe 3 hours. Clams were provided free of charge, and worms are available for an extra $10. Rod rental is $15 for the day, comes with everything you need.

Also, note that the average size of porgy is SMALL! Maybe 8 inches. The pictures in the other reviews led me to think we would be catching big fish, which was not at all the case.

Went on the Never Enuff fishing trip out of Glen Cove with 4 friends. From the moment we arrived it was a great experience. Captain Mike and ship mate Brandon were awesome. The boat was nice and all of the equipment was well maintained and worked perfectly. Captain Mike knew exactly where the fish were. He parked right on top of them and we caught TONS of Porgies and a bunch of blue fish. I’ve been on many fishing trips. From Brooklyn, to Freeport, to Captree and I have never seen this many fish. It was mind blowing. There were so many being caught that Captain Mike was gifting his all around to us and the other guests.He was giving helpful tips and excellent instruction. Brandon was very helpful, polite and extremely hard working. The vibe on the boat between the staff and guests was super chill like we’d known each other for years. Wow!!!!!I had an amazing time on Never Enuff Fishing 😁. The amazing Captain Mike and his First Mate Super Lex really showed up and showed out for our party!!!!!! Any and every question I had ; I got answers .All the help I needed they were right there to help me and the other ,that are not avid fishing boaters.Look, I can't stop thinking about Never Enuff Fishing out of Queens . It's just simply the best time I have EVER had on a charter boat.WOW!!!!! I would have never had this great experience if it wasn't for My other Super Hero my brother Booker Logan !!!! I appreciate the trip it was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!😁❤️. Forget the rest , Never Enuff Fishing with Captain Mike and Super Lex is the BEST. Bottom line if can't get them you still dealing with The Best charter boat around if all of the Captain and mates are like these...
