Flushing Meadows Corona Park Kayak/Canoe Launch — Attraction in New York

Little known park which curves around Flushing bay. Nice for a jog or a stroll. On the flushing side there is a large cement factory and a Dept of transport depot and on the Elmhurst side you have LaGuardia airport. Could use an infusion of dollars to spruce it up a little. Because it is a little secluded you will come across groups of weed smokers and down on their luck...

Easy_off_easy_on from exit 13 of I_678 (vanwyck expressway) and exit 9 of Grand Central parkway. This park sits two miles across the Bowery Bay from LaGuardia Airport and directly across from citi field (new York Mets baseball field). I like going for a walk along the promenade when I'm waiting a long time for pickups...
