I recently visited NY Puppy Club for a grooming session for my beloved dog. While I had heard positive things about their services, my experience left me deeply disappointed and concerned for my pet's well-being.
Upon arriving at the groomer's, everything seemed relatively normal. However, when I picked up my dog and noticed his paws were wet, it didn't raise immediate alarm bells. It was only when I got to my car that I discovered the true extent of the negligence and mistreatment my dog had endured during his visit.
To my horror, I noticed that my dog's nails had been trimmed excessively, resulting in bleeding. It was evident that this had caused him considerable pain and distress, as his eyes were red and he had been crying. As a pet owner, this was an extremely distressing sight, and I felt an overwhelming sense of guilt for having entrusted my beloved companion to this groomer.
While accidents can happen, it is vital for any professional dog groomer to prioritize the safety and well-being of their furry clients. Unfortunately, the lack of care and attention shown towards my dog's welfare during this visit was deeply concerning. It is simply unacceptable for a groomer to negligently cut a dog's nails to the point of injury, causing unnecessary pain and suffering.
In light of this experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend NY Puppy Club to other pet owners. The incident has left me with serious doubts about their competence and commitment to animal welfare. It is crucial for pet owners to be able to trust groomers with their beloved companions, and unfortunately, my trust in this establishment has been severely shattered.
I sincerely hope that the management of NY Puppy Club takes immediate action to address the issue and prevent such incidents from happening in the future. Groomers should undergo appropriate training and exercise utmost care when handling animals entrusted to their care. Pet owners should feel confident that their pets will receive the love, attention, and professional care they deserve.
In conclusion, my was deeply disappointing and distressing. I implore other pet owners to exercise caution and thoroughly research and review grooming establishments before entrusting their furry family members into their care. Our pets deserve only the best treatment, and sadly, this was not the case at...
Read moreIâm extremely disappointed with the way Iâve been treated by NY Puppyâs Club after being a loyal and generous customer for nearly a year. My groomer, Haemi, has always done an excellent job grooming my medium-sized dog â and Iâve always appreciated her work by tipping her $40 on top of the $200+ full grooming service. Iâve even made special efforts to show appreciation during the holidays. However, during my last visit, Haemi asked me not to book morning appointments anymore because my dog is âtoo friendlyâ and supposedly takes longer to groom, which delays her schedule. I usually book around 11:00 a.m. due to my work schedule, and this had never been an issue until now. More concerning, after trying to book with Haemi through their online system, I received a call saying my appointment was a âmistakeâ and that there were no full grooming slots available for the entire week. I was offered a âmini grooming (only trim a little bitâ instead which is quicker and easier job to the groomer and I accepted it. Two weeks later, I tried to schedule another full grooming appointment due to the hot weather. I booked online again well in advance. But once again, I received a call saying my appointment was canceled and again blamed on an âonline error.â At this point, I started questioning the real reason behind these cancellations. What are the chances both appointments were âmistakesâ after I had already been asked not to book morning appointments because my dog supposedly takes too long? When I voiced my concerns, the staff who called me was extremely rude and dismissive. She acted like rescheduling me was a favor and refused to let me speak to a manager. When I insisted, I was connected to another male staff member who told me bluntly that groomers work on commission and my dog takes too much of Haemiâs time, so take my dog in morning appointment it affects her earnings. Itâs truly shocking and disheartening to be effectively turned away because my dog is friendly and takes longer to groom. This feels like discrimination and a clear sign that the business prioritizes speed and profits over customer loyalty, care, and fairness. I hope NY Puppyâs Club seriously reconsiders how they treat loyal customers â because no one should feel unwelcome for simply having a dog thatâs a little...
Read moreI am genuinely so so upset - I can't even express how disappointed I am at Haemi's service. My husband took our dog to NY puppy club 1 week ago and they turned us down because our dog was very matted. They said that if we wanted to keep her hair long, that we need to brush her every day and come back a week later. My husband and I brushed her every single day for over 2 hours and reinforced her by giving her steak, pig ear, and more beef. Although it wasn't necessarily the most fun for her, she was perfectly fine with it.
1 week later, my husband takes her to NY puppy club and they say we did a good job and that there's still some matting (understandable) and that they'll refer to the haircut he showed her and charge $160 for the cut. 1 hour later, my husband gets a call from them saying that she's crying and they have to shave down all her hair. My husband asked at least to keep her face to the expectation of the picture - but they DID NONE OF THAT. they completely did not listen to even 1 request of ours and just shaved her down. I'm so confused at how an establishment that deals with dogs every day cannot handle a well behaved 9 month puppy and make this grooming experience for her SUCH an anxiety inducing one. She never cried so much before and it's clear she was put under so much stress. My husband and I did all that work per their advice for NOTHING. He traveled 1 hour for WHAT. For them to give up and give our baby the most ugly hair cut ever????? We repeatedly asked for her to keep her hair as long as possible. We understand that she's matted but it was no where near bad enough to shave it down like this. This is just lazy shoddy work at BEST. I will never ever come here again and tell all my friends to not come here if they don't want to ruin their dogs hair and increase...
