If I can give this place zero stars, I would. The customer service is horrific and the manager along with the staff is highly unprofessional.
I bought 4 macarons from this location, they were purchased in the evening. All four macarons were hard and stale. They were inedible and I had toss all of them. They were as hard as a stale slice of toast bread.
I had been trying to get in contact via the phone # for several days but no one answers. I was finally able to get an answer after calling several times today. I was met with cynicism and rudeness. The girl that was speaking an Asian dialect would just put the phone down without telling me to hold on. She would just stop talking and walk around. The manager said he wants to speak to me in person and wants me to drive there. I clearly explained that I don’t live in Queens and I’m not driving there to speak to him. All they had to do was refund the order or offer a store credit. But they said, “how do we know if wasn’t good?” Because I WAS a customer who is calling to tell you that you sold me STALE MACARONS. That’s how you know it wasn’t good. Why would anyone go out of their way to call a cafe and try to rectify the situation if it wasn’t the truth. They asked me why it took me so many days to talk to someone, I said because no one is answering the phone! Pick up with someone calls.
This place offers horrible customer service. They sell stale macarons and they have a horrible outlook on their business ethics.
Macarons are not cheap, just go someone else if you’re looking for baked goods.
Try The French Workshop, the staff is nicer, the ambiance is way better and the baked goods/dessert is much better...
Read moreNormally not one to leave bad reviews but this one left a very sour taste in my mouth. Stay far far away—customer service from hell. I came with a friend and got the strawberry cheesecake; after taking a small bite we were disappointed as while it looked nice, it tasted extremely artificial and bland. We went back to the store and asked the manager if we could possibly credit the cost of the cheesecake towards another item on the menu and just pay the difference. The manager gave us a nasty look, smugly staying that she couldn’t do anything other than give us a new slice of the same nasty cheesecake and overall just making us feel like this was an absolutely ridiculous request when in reality this is something that any other spot would’ve been happy to oblige to. Note that this was during their grand opening period when one would think they would be trying to foster goodwill and make a good impression on customers—imagine how little they care now! Horrible customer service corroborated by many others, check out their other 1 star reviews. Do yourself a favor and skip this place, go down the street to mango mango instead for a delicious dessert along with good...
Read moreVery cute, comfortable, and calm environment. There are a lot more seating options than it looks from the outside -- it goes in pretty deep, with more tables at the very back next to what looks like an office.
They have so many desserts (macarons, gelato, parfaits, donuts, cakes, baked goods, etc.), but we just got the bingsoo, which wasn't bad. We tried the original red bean bingsoo, which looked smaller than pictured and also didn't come with the large red bean mochi that was in the picture. The mini mochi was a little tough, but the red bean wasn't too sweet. The shaved ice itself was a bit thicker and less frosty/icy than other bingsoo I've tried, maybe because their bingsoo is "gelato base shaved ice." I still prefer Cocohodo or Waffle and Sip's bingsoo for the price and portion, but the one here isn't bad!
Not dying to come back, but it really is a cute shop and a nice place to chat and get something sweet to eat because they have a lot of options, so there'll be something...
