Read moreIn my experience, Okka Foods supermarket sells produce of inconsistent quality and I also was discriminated by a salesperson from the meat department. For example, I used to buy the same white potatoes all the time. The last time I bought more of those potatoes because I live a bit far, and potatoes turned out to have terrible smell before I cooked them and horrible taste after I cooked them. Another example, I started buying cherries as soon season started. Last time, I bought cherries 7/25/2024 for $2.99/# $14.11. Cherries have terrible taste. I can't imagine that Okka Foods didn't know that they are selling poor quality produce. Return policy, "we work to ensure our customers are satisfied with a purchases. If you aren't happy with your purchase for any reason, exchange the product with the receipt within 24 hours. Items must be unopened not damaged and still be in the original package." I live kinda not close. I can't just come back within 24 hours. Also, if I planned to return unopened not damaged and still in the original package products why would I buy them? The only way I would know that the product is adulterated is by opening it. This return policy doesn't make any sense. Unless there are people who like to buy and return. I like to buy and eat. I had another bad experience in this store with the meat department. I was regularly buying chicken, beef and lamb. The last time when I wanted to buy a piece of beef, I clearly pointed to the piece that I wanted. However, a salesperson from the meat Department, who already knew that I was a customer, gave me a piece of meat that he thought would be suitable for me. He gave it to me at the reduced price even though I never asked him for a reduced price for meat. I never complained about the meat prices. When another customer liked the price of that meat, he pointed to the salesperson that he wanted it, a salesperson did not give it to him even though he was insisting. They spoke their language. When I examined a piece of meat that the salesman tried selling me, it was black and dark, wrapped in many layers of plastic and tightly closed in a plastic bag. I felt being disgusted and discriminated. I returned it to him politely, and I never approached meat department again....
Read moreIn this store, at the entrance, a man of Eastern nationality tried to take a bag at the entrance to the store, explaining that you can’t take a bag, while other people came in with bags and other items like a bag on wheels, and he didn’t say anything to them, my wife insisted that this store representative is wrong and has no right to take a bag at the entrance, without explaining the reasons. Please sort this out with the store management.I will never buy here again and I will tell my friends.
In response to your answer. It is wrong to check people with bags at the entrance, if you want to avoid theft in the store, you should make boxes at the entrance, and ask people to use, as you say, your rules to leave these bags in these boxes, but your staff cannot forcibly take a bag from a girlfriend, wife, weak person at the entrance without explanation, this is not a prison, and your staff is not trained to check bags at the entrance, this is a lie. That day, everyone walked past your staff with bags, who did not check anything, and did not ask to show your bag or leave your bag in this place, this did not happen, so do not tell fairy tales about the staff. And if your staff stops someone by force again without explanation with taking a bag from a buyer at the entrance, you can be planted with a good lawyer, so good luck to you in your business, there are many lawyers in New York for any case, if your staff is aggressive, takes bags by force, you They will judge you and you will pay moral and physical damages, so good luck to you and your staff. You lost...
