Parfumeur Hair Salon — Attraction in New York

After months of driving by Parfumeur hair salon i finally decided to go in today. I have very thick and extremely long hair. Most stylists either get scissor happy or they get lost in my hair both resulting in terrible haircuts for me over the years. The last time I was in a salon was over 4 maybe 5 years ago so this was a big decision for me.

I entered Parfumeur salon and was greeted by Feruz. I told him about my mishaps with other stylists and explained to him what hairstyle I wanted. Getting my haircut is a 2 step process because I wanted to cut a portion of my hair for donation to locks of love. Feruz was very accommodating and he checked with me several times to ensure that the length of my hair was what I wanted after he cut off the required length for donation. Feruz asked if I was ready and cut the 12+" ponytail to donate. He then washed my hair and i was ready. Caped and prepped for my actual haircut Feruz began. I knew by the way he handled my hair and held his scissors that this was going to be a great cut. After an hour including cut and a relaxing blowout he was finished. Perfect angles and a little layering, my ends are feathered to perfection and i still have the long hair i love!!! I was so happy i finally got the cut i wanted i couldn't stop smiling and playing with my hair. From the moment I entered Parfumeur salon there was something about Feruz that put me at ease. I absolutely reccomend Parfumeur hair salon for anyone who has been traumatized by terrible haircuts in the past and for everyone else who just wants a great haircut! Feruz at Parfumeur works absolute magic with your hair. I found him through Google and needed to desperately find a salon that would be open that day and could color hair for my sister. It was a particularly sensitive and vulnerable situation and he and his assistant handled everything so gracefully and carefully.

Feruz is completely honest and will let you know if something will work or not. His salon is also beautiful and he makes you feel incredibly safe.

I came in months later with an idea of what I wanted for hair color and he went in a different direction than I thought. It came out freaking amazing.

Even during the bleaching process, which needed a double process on previously bleached hair ( I had a moment last year where I did it myself ) came out looking prettier than any other time my hair has been bleached. My hair had no damage. 0. I now look like a mermaid.

I highly suggest - come in with an idea, but COMPLETELY TRUST him to take over for cut/style/and color.

Feruz is a magician and what he does is transformative and beautiful. It is absolutely worth the trek from wherever you are from to this part of Brooklyn.

Highly recommend!!!! I’m leaving for vacation in 3 days and got my hair butchered by another salon yesterday, my confidence was at an all time low, but Feruz really turned that around today. This was the greatest experience I’ve had in a salon ever. From the service, to the work itself, the hospitality, the environment, this was truly the best hair salon I’ve ever been to.

I came in not really knowing what I could do at this point but Feruz came up with a solution so we went with it, I wont lie, I was a little anxious and scared due to the prior hair salons poor work, but Feruz re assured me that made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Amazing service, 10/10, I was treated to a nice hot coffee upon request. he even gave me a complimentary hair mask! He also recommended a Keratin Treatment, which I got done, and I’m grateful I did. My hair is now full of life and feels rejuvenated. It takes me 5-10 minutes to do my hair in the mornings now, and my hair feels much smoother and stronger than it did before. Feruz is a professional.

Everything turned out amazing. I left with 100x more confidence than I came here with. I will be coming back very soon with a couple of my friends, I can’t keep this salon a secret lol.
