Playground 103 CIII — Attraction in New York

This is a beautiful and well equipped playground that offers activities for kids of all ages and an adult work-our area, plus sprinklers from Memorial to around Labor Day. It’s one of the best playgrounds in the UES in general, hands down. However, arriving at the playground can be challenging due to closed sidewalks because of construction, bikers zooming around the corner or a sketchy walk through the NYCHA housing. Most days the playground is quite safe; however, in summer and especially on weekends there is pot smoking and drinking of alcohol, sometimes by people without children, sometimes by parents. There is something here for both older kids and toddlers in this colorful, fun, and new playground. My toddler enjoyed playing with the manipulatives and puzzles found on some of the play sets for younger kids. She also enjoyed nagivating through the playground sets for older children. There are a couple of "spider web" climbing areas that are especially fun. The swings are quite comfortable and there are plenty of them. The basketball courts are spacious. Renovation has been completed and this playground has improved significantly. It provides kids with hours of entertainment. It has two water features, both controlled via push timer. It offers full basketball court as well as third hoepe. The play area has various monkey barsz slides and ropes and has designated area for the smaller visitors.
