I've been a regular customer at the CREATE for my morning protein shake on my way to Astoria Park, but I recently had a frustrating experience that has left me reconsidering my loyalty to this place.
I typically enjoy a shake to fuel my day, but on my last visit, I was charged a whopping $18.00 for a shake that I’ve usually paid around $12.00 to $15.00. I do not understand that substitutions, like swapping whey for plant-based protein is charged $1.50, additional almond butter $2.50 and flex seed $1.50. This lead to very expensive shake and inconsistency in pricing. On some occasions, my shake has cost as little as $12.00, and to see the price jump so drastically without clear communication was disheartening.
I believe the CREATE should have transparent pricing, especially for regular customers who become familiar with their offerings. The lack of consistency and the failure to address my concerns at the moment made me feel undervalued. Overcharging, whether intentional or not, can result in alienating loyal patrons, and that's worrying for the future of this business.
I encourage The Body to address this inconsistency and improve customer service to retain their regular clientele. I will personally not be...
Read moreI never write reviews but I feel this experience grants it. I went to the juice bar to grab a smoothie and had to wait standing there at the register until one of the staff members noticed me and took my order. A minute later, the same guy that took my order had to ask me what my order was. Mind you, it was an smoothie. 2 or 3 other people came to the counter and order. To my surprise, at least one person that had arrived after me received an smoothie. The same guy that had taken my order looked at me (and realized he had forgotten my order) and said: your smoothie it’s coming. At that point I was done and asked for a refund. Once I asked for my refund the guy said : but sir, your smoothie is ready. Someone came, take care of the refund and she asked the two staff members in Spanish : what happened . They guy said he didint wanted to wait. Like it was somehow my fault. Nobody asked me a single question nor apologized. To add insult to injury, the guy who took my order ask another guy who was waiting if he would liked a free smoothie while looking at me almost mocking me. The saddest part of the story is that I have been a regular for years and sometimes stop multiple times a week. I guess I won’t be doing...
Read moreI'd been going to the original Create on 30th Ave for a long time now and never thought to visit the one on Ditmars because its a little farther... But my new office is closer to the Ditmars location so thats where I started going... Let me just tell you that I absolutely LOVE this place!! no offense to the original one, but this one is a lot bigger in size but also has a lot more food options!
You have SO many options from Smoothies, to fresh pressed juices, to Acai bowls, Greek bowls and Fruit bowls.. Then you have the salad bar where you can choose from their delicious menu, or you can "Create" your own salad, Quinoa Bowl, Rice Bowl, Sandwiches, or Wrap!!! They also have a little buffet of hot food... they have Salmon, Chipotle chicken, Roasted Chicken, Steak, Tofu, and a bunch of different sides like quinoa, Orzo, grilled veggies, etc... They also have Hot soups!!!
I come here several times a week and it never fails me!! the only complaint I could possibly make is that I spend to much money in here LOL! you order food then get to the checkout line and your like "oh damn thats kind of a lot", but whatever and continue to go there because its so...
