One of the last standing old time hardware stores that stocks parts that cannot be found in the big box places that all look the same. People there are very helpful and guide you in making the best choices. The occasional 80s music in the background adds to the nostalgia. On occasion, you can stumble on unique items like a metal sunflower shaped bird feeders that you can't even get on Amazon. So, if you have a project but unsure of the parts of even the tools needed, it's worth the time to stop here first.
Update 10/24, I was in need of a gasket that fell out of a compressor tire inflation tip. As my go to store, they had the gasket that fit right and worked flawlessly when I got to test it out. Saved me at $10-20 in buying a new one and especially today where everything is insanely expensive getting it fixed for about 50 cents always puts a smile on my face. As a side note, it was odd that one of the old timers that worked there acted like he never saw one of these compressor inflators. He couldn't understand why I needed a gasket until I explained it to him getting to the point of needing hand puppets. But hey, age before beauty, right? It's a place that holds memories and when the day comes that they are gone, life's going to get harder fixing things and will require lithium to control bouts of rage dealing with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe inside of Reimans Hardware is sometimes dirty and just generally boring without any atmosphere. The outside of the store has somewhat of an atmosphere. The technology they use inside of Reimans as well also just looks very outdated. But, I won't complain about the technology they use to keep their business flowing, because I personally have never had a problem with it, and it saves money and the planet by reducing the amount of plastic telephones produced. The staff are okay, but the thing is is that when I walk inside Reimans (if my memory serves me right) is that they don't have any employee uniforms. It makes it hard to tell whether they are employees, or customers. I guess "undercover employees", would make for some good security measures, to make sure nobody steals anything. But then, shouldn't you just hire a security guard? Honestly, hiring a security guard would make it more secure. I'm not saying people steal from Reimans often, but still, it would make employees able to focus on their duties more with a security guard...

The moment you walk through the door, someone is right there to help you ā real experts who know their craft. They measure your screens right in front of you, carefully confirm your address, and make sure everythingās squared away before you leave. Itās personal, precise, and professional.
I actually worked at Reimanās back in ā98, when old man Reiman himself used to roam the aisles. Looking back, that job taught me the kind of values and quality customer service that you just donāt see at the big-box stores anymore. Reimanās embodies that local feel ā genuine care and attention to detail.
One day I found myself at Home Depot because I wasnāt near Reimanās, and in a rush I said to an employee, āPlease help me ā if I was at Reimanās, Iād be in and out already.ā That about sums it up. Thereās simply no comparison. Reimanās is...
