Banh Mi House — Restaurant in New York

Ordered from Banh Mi House for the first time today and it was great! On the phone we were told everything would be ready in 10 minutes, so we got there in about 12 minutes to pick up our order and everything really was ready by the time we got there, well, except for the hot tea!, They actually waited till we arrived to make it fresh just so that it would be nice and hot! That was an unexpected bonus and shows they really care about the quality and for their customers and that speaks volumes to my family and I Everyone is so kind here, courteous and very friendly! EVERYTHING that everyone ordered from the online menu was made exactly how they expected it to be, but tasted even better and was all so fresh and tasty! I really enjoyed the green bubble tea with passion fruit both hot and cold! The Pork sandwich I got was slammin', so tasty and huge, very filling! Wife and I split an order of the Pork Spring Rolls and they were sooooo good and the sauce that came with them only made them even better! I've had them from a zillion places, but these had the nicest flavor out of them all! I cant wait to order those again! My wife got the Pork over Rice and the portion was gigantic and everything tasted so good and fresh, she couldn't stop talking about how good it all was! I tried Banh Mi House for the first last night and it’s just WOW!

Let me start by saying that a 9pm Sunday takeout order is a risky affair - I’ve had borderline stale leftovers sent to me from trusted spots: things are typically being shot down this late, the day is done and the staff is ready to go home, nobody wants to fire up the grills again - I get it. Not this place, though. My beef pho and bahn mi were SO FRESH and BURSTING WITH FLAVOR I couldn’t believe I was eating a late night takeout, both could easily rival my pre-covid go-to Vietnamese spots around Chinatown in the city.

In short, everything was just right about my food: rich and complex flavors of the pho broth, tender razor-thin slices of fresh beef amazing textures, flavors and right temperatures on the banh mi - warm delicious grilled pork, cool crunchy cucumber, daikon radish and carrots, fresh cold cuts.

The only thing I wished for was a layer of rich pate on the sandwich - I even called the place to ask if they had it as an add-on, but no dice. Maybe they could consider adding it to the menu.

So to summarize: delicious food, quick delivery, neatly packaged - an all-around amazing experience. So happy to have discovered this Vietnamese outpost here in Staten Island, will be...

Back when I lived in Brooklyn, I was always going to a banh mi shop for YEARS, but upon moving to Staten Island, it's no longer easy for me to get tasty banh mi from that location anymore, so I was on a quest to find a new spot here on the Island.

...and here it is, Banh Mi House.

Upon walking in, you feel welcomed and relaxed. The atmosphere is calming, and natural. The green walls, natural wood, lots of lighting... just wow. It's a very popular spot for all kinds of people, couples on a date, teens hanging out after school, even the post office workers love coming here!!!

Seating is limited, so make sure you go early! Around 2pm it gets crowded from after school rush, but it's not loud at all! Everyone is super respectful, given the limited space and tables.

I really enjoyed coming here today with my family, and I will guarantee you, you will want to come back just as badly as I want to. This is my new favorite banh mi spot, and now it's time to make it your favorite too!!! Enjoy. It's...
