My sister in law recently celebrated her 50th Wedding Anniversary at Sirico's Caterers and we absolutely had a great time. "Happy 50th Family". My first impression of Sirico's from it's outside appearance was very impressive. The building itself had has great curb appeal and charm. However once you stepped inside the main foyer you're met with that old style banquet hall feel and smell. The main hall where our event was held, was very spacious, somewhat modern and in my opinion very well decorated. The dance floor was a little small but, not a good size if many of your guest wanted to dance. I would like to give the servers a very special shout out because of their service to detail and attentiveness. The servers made sure you had everything you needed and more. We were offered hors d'oeuvres, a choice of pasta, and a main course. The hors d'oeures werw not very good except for the vegetable tempura, The Penne Pasta was mediocre, i thought the gravy could have been better considering the the ethnic history of the venue and the area in which we were in. My main course consisted of Salmon, vegetable medley, and roasted potatoes, and it was horribly plated and tasted very bland. The drinks were typical, and watered down and not of Top Shelf quality. If someone needed to use the restroom or powder room they to go downstairs, which i thought wasn't convenient for older guest. I would have given Sirico's a much higher approval rating had things been much different. I think moving forward Sirico's should learn from this review and make several changes to their Banquet Hall if they are to remain competitive in this business. Many people today are looking for a more modern approach and updated halls to celebrate special occasions. They want Good Food, Good Service, Convenience, and most of all ambience with a modern twist. Sirio's will not withstand future success in the long term if changes aren't substantially made. Other than that Sirio's has a strong...
Read moreHighly Recommend Sirico's Caterers for any event!! We have been a vendor many times here but haven't had the pleasure of attending an event here until yesterday. Our event was attended to extremely professional with the greatest attention to detail. They truly didn't miss a beat. They stuck to a timeline we provided and worked with us with every little detail. The managers, maitre' D, and wait staff were exceptional to work with, friendly, and very professional . They accommodated us so well especially with all of our additions and last minute changes. In addition, The food was excellent!!! We were originally supposed to be in the smaller room but were able to be moved into the bigger room to give us more seating and dancing room. Our event yesterday was seamless and we were so happy how everything turned out. On top of it all, they are very affordable. You truly will not find a better package anywhere in Brooklyn that will be this generous for the price they charge. Highly highly recommend! If I can give them 6...
Read moreAs a travel agent, I attended a seminar here. I found the place average. It was nothing fancy or WOW if I was to have an event there. It's not a place I'd pick for my wedding. It needs a bit of power! The fireplace is crammed on a wall and doesn't give a romantic feel with the cheap modern black screen. The couches make it look like an apartment lobby. The downstair's bathrooms are so tight. no one wearing a gown can keep it off the floor. It just gave me an enclosed feeling, not a happy atmosphere. It really needs renovations and a splash of color. Either modern or antique--this place looks cheap. The food wasn't anything better. The food was served cold, the mashed potato fried up something was spicy and filled with pepper that I couldn't eat it. The steak was cold and the gravy didn't taste wonderful -maybe if it was warm? The desert was orange flavored cheese cake that I couldn't eat because it was chunks of bitter orange mixed in and to tart. The waiter Jack was...
