On March 26, my son-in-law asked for help getting decorations for a surprise birthday party he was planning for my daughter on April 12 in NYC. You read that right. 17 days before the event in NYC! Impossible, right? Especially since I live in Ohio, but was in California when he made the ask!

After a few unsuccessful attempts at squeezing myself into someone’s, anyone’s, schedule, I got lucky. I happened upon The Balloon River website, and somehow knew (call it a gut feeling) that I had found what I had been looking for. I jotted off an email and Jazzmine responded to my plea within hours. She said that although they were booked at capacity on April 12, she would do her best to help.

Her best was nothing short of phenomenal!

Jazzmine was in constant contact with me (I have one email thread that is 32 messages long, and that doesn’t include quotes and thank-you notes). She unhesitatingly agreed to be the contact with the venue’s event manager (who was non-responsive most of the time, but Jazzmine was tenacious, and got intel from the hostess) and she kept us informed of every interaction. When I told her I had a Paris theme in mind, her first suggestion was spot-on, and she was quick to send ideas and pictures.

She even went to the venue that my son-in-law had chosen, and sent me a video of the space (while double parked!) so we could see from Ohio what we were dealing with in NYC. Turns out, Jazzmine saved the day because her video convinced us that the original venue was not going to be suitable for a celebration on a cold and rainy day, and we managed to switch venues just days before the event!

Finally, when given a 30-minute window in which to make the delivery on the day of the event, she made it happen! It took some work to find someone, but she put the work in, and our balloons arrived right on schedule!

And the icing on the cake? Jazzmine sent along an extra large balloon in case something happened in transport and additional adhesives in case some of the bows on our Parisian balloons fell off! Talk about covering all your bases! Jazzmine was literally by our side the entire time!

And don’t forget, she did this all while maintaining an already-committed-to “at capacity” client calendar.

If you are in the northern New Jersey or greater New York City area, and are hosting an event, don’t bother looking any further than The Balloon River for professional balloon decor and above and beyond customer service. I reached out to The Balloon River with only a week's notice of our large project for a high-profile client, and the scope was no small feat. We had four large balloon moments in our space, which was the key element to our decor throughout. We were not looking for your ordinary balloons; we wanted them double-stuffed to have a glass effect, and we needed specific colors and sizes. And to top it all off, we needed this to be installed overnight in NYC starting at 11 pm and ending around 5 am. When I approached The Balloon River with this scope, not only did they jump on it right away but they communicated every step of the way to ensure the process was smooth and to ease my stress as this was our first time working together. They were prepared; they were professional and communicative, worked well within the small space available, AND brought our renders to reality. Our event was live for two days and the balloons looked INCREDIBLE. They didn't move, didn't deflate, did not pop. The client was over the moon and guests could not stop raving about the space. I am so thankful to Jazzmine and her team for helping our team produce a fabulous event and give our client a successful turnout. I can't wait until the next project with this team, as they will be our new go-to over here...
