Our child went here for 2 1/2 years. At the beginning, the coaches we had had a good balance with connecting, communicating and gymnastics discipline. For example, Ms. Maria was amazing with her connection and teaching skills with students. But everything is based on your luck about coaches.
Unfortunately, 2023 fall term was a disaster. They lack structure because they have too many students, and few coaches.The coaches kept switching between age groups, therefore they don’t have a good communication with students or understanding of the students’ bodies. The coaches don’t have any motivation to teach.
Moreover if a student gets bullied, they don’t even have the basic teaching skills to recognize the issue, or solving the problem. This creates an unsafe environment for students that is unacceptable in any sports.
Also, management is not capable of working with parents or students when a problem of bullying is brought to their attention. Instead of making space for students to feel safe and protected as a team, they blamed a five year old for not speaking up and a caregiver for speaking up.
