If I could give this location negative stars, I would. I went in for some routine testing and was greeted by the front desk staff, a woman named Svetlana whose behavior was shockingly rude and unprofessional. I was warm and respectful in my approach, but she responded with coldness, a nasty attitude, and hostile stares that made the entire interaction extremely uncomfortable. Anytime I asked a simple question, she either ignored me or looked at me as if I had said something offensive.
At first, I assumed maybe she was just having a bad day, but as I sat there, I noticed that she was polite and friendly to the white patients who came in. That's when it really struck me. After leaving, I checked the reviews and saw that others - particularly people of color - had reported similar experiences.
The most disturbing part is that she wasn't even trying to hide her behavior. It was overtly rude, and it felt intentional. Whether she liked me or not shouldn't matter, I was there for a basic test, and she was there to do a job. If she is prejudiced, fine, but at least do your job with a minimum level of decency. I remained respectful throughout, but it would have cost her nothing to do the same.
I have visited other LabCorp locations and have never experienced anything like this. LabCorp seriously needs to look into this, because its not just a one-off complaint.
Avoid this location if you are a person of color. Its simply not worth...
Read moreI just read most of the reviews on Svetlana, it is true she is rude and dismissive most of the time. She wouldn't help me figure out the check-in and was super rude and mean to me, but the second time I came back she admitted that she's the only one working at times and it's overwhelming, although it's not an excuse to be rude to people I kind of understand. At least now she quietly takes my paperwork does what she has to do and we have no interaction besides her job. Its still awkward but I just need her to do my blood work not be Susie sunshine. She does seem to be trying to make a slight effort to not be so hard, but I think it's due to cultural differences. 10/14/25 They finally have more help so things seem to be running smoother at...
Read moreI have been driving in New York City since 1996 and I always have to do a drug test recently. I moved to Staten Island and 1441 South Ave. is the closest LabCorp to me to do the drug test I never have any bad experience with any LabCorp, but this is the worst LabCorp I ever been. There is only one lady work there. She is unprofessional and polite and I donât blame her because probably she cannot handle the amount of people in there this is unacceptable and this is the last time I will visit that LabCorp and I will complain to the TLC. We should do the drug test somewhere else. It doesnât have...
