I was a patient at WYCKOFF MEDICAL center Christmas day 2024 I have never ever experience the hospital like this, it took nine hours to place me in a room , The room smell like urine the floors were dirty and I saw a dead roach, three hours after I am omitted into this room roaches were coming out from everywhere I took pictures and videos I could not believe I reported this to thnd she said there was no such things as roaches in the hospital until I showed her the video, I had pneumonia and the flu I was on oxygen I difficulty breathing , The room was extremely Hot no offense elation no type of air, I was told by the nurse to ask a family member to buy me a fan for the hospital, the next day exterminator come in to the room to spray roach spray remind you I’m on oxygen and I can’t breathe and they found nothing wrong with that, as the day went on I didn’t see any roaches but as soon as it got dark the roaches came out again not one not two but many they were on the furniture they were on the bed I was afraid to go to sleep and fear that one will crawl in my ear, I explain to the nurses again that there are roaches in this room I was told that they were no other rooms and they would have to wait so I could be moved basically I just had to deal with it, now the food I’ve never in my life have ever seen anything so disgusting I could not identify what they were serving so of course family had to bring me something to eat, eventually I was changed to another room with another patient at it who had a lot of equipment in there really was no room for another bed my bed was pushed up against the wall when you came into the room the door would hit the bed, mind you in the room you had to keep the door close they will not leave the doors open because they said we had the flu and they did not want everyone else to get sick mind you everyone on the floor had the flu and again this room was extremely hot, as I explained the room was very small for two patients I couldn’t make it to the bathroom it was too much equipment in the room so they brought in a commode and that’s what I had to use in front of a door no privacy whatsoever , I would not recommend this hospital to anyone that for a human net freight animal hospital need to be closed I know a lot about this hospital I was a candy striper at WYCKOFF hospital when I was 14 years old, I am 66 years old now I remember when they built the new Building sadly the hospital needs to be closed and the service that you are getting from this hospital no one deserve no one whatsoever and clothes I will send my pictures

I had a severe toothache and ended up going to the ER early in the morning today. They referred me to the emergency dental department on the 2nd floor, where I waited to be seen by a doctor. The pain was so intense I couldn’t stop crying. For the past four months, I’d been trying to get a root canal done, but without success. I had seen two different dentists, and both of them told me they couldn’t proceed because my mouth wouldn’t numb properly, even after multiple injections. The pain had gotten so bad that it spread to my ears. I was desperate. When the Dr. Labelle finally came in, I explained everything—how much pain I was in and how previous dentists couldn’t numb the area. I was pleading for help. My 8-year-old daughter was with me through it all. Dr. Labelle was amazing. She was gentle and compassionate. With just one injection, my mouth finally began to go numb, and she was able to perform the procedure. I’m so grateful—I truly feel like she saved me. The tooth pain was unbearable, but now, 7–8 hours later, I feel no pain at all. It’s completely gone. Thank you so much, Dr. Labelle. I’m incredibly thankful for your care. This was my first visit to this hospital, and I’m beyond impressed. I genuinely love this hospital now. Thank you again!

I gave a birth at their delivery and maternity floor during the lockdown in May and we had the most memorable amazing experience there. Everyone there was very caring and welcoming. The highlight of my stay was that they had a surprise wedding party for me and my husband after our zoom ceremony at delivery room (I was admitted to hospital on the day we planned to do a wedding) - they prepared for a wedding cake and a bouquet and decorated a room with full of flowers and balloons, as a complete surprise. 8 hours later, I delivered a healthy baby. This was my first pregnancy and I’m not a English/Spanish native speaker, and it was during the most outrageous time with Covid, so I was very nervous about everything but I’m very thankful that they treated me very nice and warm so I had a comfortable stay. They also offered a free parenting class and maternity yoga class every week during my pregnancy, which eventually closed due to COVID, but I recommend to take them if available.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This was hands down the worst medical experience I have ever had, and I left feeling humiliated, unsafe, and completely uncared for.

I came in unconscious and woke up disoriented, in pain, sick, and terrified. Instead of compassion or even basic medical care, I was treated like a random drunk college kid, which wasn’t the case. I have a diagnosed medical disability as well as recently diagnosed Lyme disease, and I was actively suffering from a POTS attack. Not one member of staff seemed to have the faintest idea what POTS was, and my roommate and I to explain it multiple times while I was sick, scared, and crying. The level of ignorance and dismissiveness was appalling. Not to mention the ambulance itself took TWO HOURS to arrive in the first place when my heart and blood pressure were suffering majorly and I had collapsed.

To make matters worse, a man in the bed next to me continuously harassed and catcalled me. He kept trying to unbutton the curtains between us to get to me and pulling at them to get to me. I repeatedly yelled out about it yet nothing was done for the longest time until my roommate got fed up and went to speak to someone at the desk, and all that happened was the nurses rolled my bed to the side a little. I was left to fend for myself while enduring harassment in what should have been a safe environment.

The medical staff were rough, rude, and dismissive. Despite the fact that I was nauseous and throwing up, they repeatedly forced me onto my back, ignoring my pleas and obvious distress over fear of aspirating. They treated me like an inconvenience rather than a patient in need of care. At one point when I needed to use the restroom, security treated me like a criminal, blocking me from what turned out to just be the exit, as if I were trying to escape. I was already feeling awful and their behavior only made things worse.

By the end, I was simply tossed a discharge booklet and told “be careful.” No real instructions, no compassion, no one making sure I even knew where I was or how to safely leave. Keep in mind I had arrived completely unconscious. I didn’t know where I was, where the exit was, or even what had fully happened to me. I was just abandoned to figure it out on my own.

This hospital failed me on every level: medically, professionally, and ethically. I have never felt so disregarded, so unsafe, or so belittled by people who are supposed to provide care. The staff and security treated me with suspicion, contempt, and ignorance instead of doing their jobs.

If you have a chronic illness, disability, or even just expect to be treated with a basic level of respect and safety, do not ever go here. This hospital made me feel dehumanized, harassed, and discarded. Absolutely shameful. Worst hospital to ever exist and everyone who works here should be embarrassed with themselves. Clearly oaths don’t matter to them and neither do the livelihoods of...

Had a major surgery on Friday. I was forcefully discharged on Saturday by the PACU nurses. While in PACU, they refused to give me stronger dose of pain killer just so I “don’t become drowsy when being discharged and “you are going home soon.” Requested pain medication, they me Tylenol and BABY ibuprofen to take home (BABY IBUPROFEN!!!!) and the nurse said you should be fine by tomorrow, never in my “26 years of being nurse here, have I seen anyone prescribe a stronger painkiller.”

It’s Monday today
I’m in soo much pain that the 1000mg Tylenol they prescribed isn’t helping. If you guys think that the patient might get addicted, you should at least give her 3 day supply of strong pain meds. What kind of idiots think going into your body and cutting pieces out does not qualify as a major surgery that would require a stronger dose of painkillers than over the counter Tylenol. Also ZERO level communication between nurse, patient, doctor, and residents. Patient was told something else, nurse was told something else or had no information about what the doctor said for patient, the residents don’t even know how to prescribe medications. They need to make sure that the medication is approved by insurance and that the resident participates with the patient insurance. I was given horrible discharge instructions, and was told to “google for more options of what you can eat post op, there’s a whole list on google.” Da heck????? GOOGLE IT? Way to go nurse, I think it’s time you go back to nursing school. I might as well have done my own surgery using google
the residents had no clue what the doctor had said to the patient, they just blindly follow the doctor around and act wow this is so educational when in reality they are just dozing off or not caring. I was unprepared and well under equipped to be discharged the next day of surgery, and 2 days later I’m still in as much pain as I was in PACU. Every med has side effects
but the one they prescribed (Tylenol), if you overdose it
can damage your liver. Some stronger meds are needed for a short period of time to recover than forcing patients to overdose weaker painkillers for the sake of “you should be fine by tomorrow”. I will not recommend this hospital to anyone, even if this is the last hospital.

Also
 the doctor’s lounge
 it smells like marijuana
 and that’s saying something.

The doctor who performed the surgery himself though, really awesome and helpful. He was very thorough In explaining what was to be expected and what he will be doing. He comforted me every step of the way.

Update: Quit responding to people’s reviews if you don’t have any intentions of addressing the issues. People who are already in soo much pain don’t have the energy or time to call the so called patient advocate
those who do call clearly shows there’s bunch of incompetent buffoons on the other end of line that only care about the hours they are on phone so they can...

I wouldn’t bother going here unless you’ve been shot or are bleeding out the nurses and doctors could literally care less and literally ignore you and let you suffer. My mother was in the ER for hours went in for extreme pain in the abdomen they took a test found out there was something wrong with her gave her some of that iv medicine and then just left her there for hours saying they want to “commit her to observe her“ which actually meant just leave her in the room the whole night and not check up on her again i know because they have done this to her a different time. This time they left her with not even her own space or curtain to cover her literally had her right in front of the nurses desk with people right on top of her, emt and patients are running by her, patients cursing and coughing on her. They couldn’t even offer her any water or food after she had been already there for 15 hours groaning in pain right in front of them so inconsiderate and disgusting these people should actually feel shameful to call themselves nurses and then treat people so terribly and then when my dad came and was telling the nurses she’s in pain why she wasn’t givin any food or at least a cup of water after so many hours one of these nurses is gonna try to give her a nasty tray of food that’s been sitting there for hours already like really ???? That’s ok to you ?? This is what y’all do to sick patients ?? and then when my dad mentions she’s been in pain gonna come with some medicine after so many hours of just passing her by and not even checking up on her when she’s clearly in a lot of pain. And then it’s a problem when family wants to visit to check up on their family member I hear one of the nurses complaining but you guys aren’t attending to my mother and she’s calling crying so obviously her family’s gonna come and bring her food and a drink and console her like what is wrong with this world that y’all are ok treating people like this like seriously I feel so bad for the people that don’t have any loves ones to bring them some water or some food to eat or speak up for them when they are in pain and suffering after being there for so long we ended up just leaving because my mom couldn’t handle just sitting there in pain for more hours because no one was gonna go home at 8pm and there were plenty more patients waiting for a room so she would of had to most likely wait till the next day when she could just suffer more comfortably at home so now she’s just suffering and still don’t know what’s really the issue that’s going on with her. Thanks wycoff ! Try your best to avoid wycoff hospital cause they suck everytime...
