I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience at [Store Name]. I purchased an item in October 2024, only to discover it expired in February 2024 (see photos). I can't believe a well-known store would sell products that are past their expiration date for such a long time. It’s not just my purchase; I also bought one for my neighbor, and I’m worried it might be the same situation. This is unacceptable and embarrassing. It really raises questions about the integrity of this store. I urge others to be cautious when shopping here!

Special prices! The mid size White Pomfret (300/400 mg), $7.99 per pound (Regular price $12.99/lb). This week only. And, the fresh Pink Grouper Head $5.99 per pound. Don't miss out! The Ranch 99 sells swimming fishes, fresh fishes and offers Free fish frying, e.g. live Silver Carp, Live Tilapia and live Sturgeon, as well as, steam live Dungeness Crabs/Maine Lobsters. The cashier told me they also offered a 5% discount for customers who are 60+ years old every Tuesday.

I do grocery shopping in the San Francisco Bay Area all the time because the supermarket there has more traditional Chinese items. The 99 Ranch Market in Newark is one of the markets I shopped. The 99 Ranch Market in Newark is big and clean inside. The parking lot is not too busy. The workers there are very helpful. They always give me directions for the items I can find it myself.

Poor condition shopping carts! Ranch99 in the Bay Area offers a commendable grocery shopping experience with its extensive selection of Chinese items and well-organized layout. The Newark location stands out with its larger variety compared to the Mountain View branch, earning a thumbs up in that regard. However, despite these positives, one glaring flaw detracts from the overall experience – the subpar quality of the shopping carts. While the store itself maintains cleanliness and organization, the shopping carts fail to meet expectations. It's perplexing why Ranch99 hasn't invested in better carts, considering they are a crucial part of the shopping experience. Although upgrading may entail higher costs, it's a relatively minor expense compared to the overall operation. This oversight, albeit seemingly trivial to some, significantly impacts the shopping experience for those who value convenience...

The store is just another "typical" 99 Ranch Market store. In fact, the store size is slightly smaller comparing with the newer stores. But the staff are friendly. Being an Asian grocery store, it carries most of the Asian food that you need cooking Asian dishes. At this everything Amazon age, I cherish its existence. It is not fancy but good enough for me. In addition, I like it because it is close to my house and it gives me a chance to drive along the familiar local streets with a sense of being "local".

By the way, for every $20 you spend on grocery, you get $1 coupon for the store bakery. This is a perk that no other Bay Area 99 Ranch Market stores offer anymore. You can treat yourself with a bakery item for your...

I usually never leave reviews but this experience was so bad I needed to share. The market was fine but the bakery on the left when you enter was a whole mess. I came to get some bakery and when I went to checkout the cashier lady was so rude to us. She grabbed the bread scanned it and threw it back to us and when we had to find an extra 70 cents she started yelling at us and spoke in chinese loudly while complaining about us. She might’ve been having a bad day but the customer service was just inexcusable I wanted to just walk out and not buy anything. The bread wasn’t even good so I don’t recommend the bakery. Save your money and time and just...
