The weather in the Bay Area has really cooled down ❄️ Hot pot is the savior in the cold winter, and pairing it with barbecue greatly increases the happiness! Checked in at a hot pot barbecue restaurant in Newark, feeling very genuine and cost-effective. The name is: Legend Hot Pot & Grill 🥩 Fun, delicious, and they even use a small train to deliver dishes to your table for selection. If you're a meat lover, this place is suitable for you.
📍 Address: 35233 Newark, Newark, CA 94560 ✔️ Price: Lunch $24.99/Dinner $32.99 per person feels very worthwhile, add $5 if you want barbecue too.
Personally, I recommend trying both hot pot and barbecue, but I feel barbecue is even tastier. Here are a few must-try items:
🌟 Hot Pot:
🍻 Broth: Medicinal or Butter broth 🍻 Australian Wagyu: A must-try in hot pot, the best meat quality in the restaurant 🍻 American Wagyu: Also worth a try, but I personally prefer the Australian one 🍻 Premium Lamb: Northern friends might like this 🍻 Small dishes on the train: Pig blood, quail eggs, crab, scallops, fresh shrimp, choy sum, cabbage, udon noodles, and many more delicious options, but my stomach is not big enough
🌟 Barbecue:
🍻 Secret Cowboy Bones: I tried this and found it to be the best in the whole place! I ordered it three times! A must-try for barbecue! 🍻 Original Cowboy Bones: You can dip the original in sauce, imitating the Korean style, but I feel the secret one is really tastier! 🍻 Garlic Shrimp: Another best in the whole place! Personally, I love grilled shrimp, and I think their grill can make shrimp very well without burning.
The Bay Area has many delicious options, but in terms of value for money, this place...
Read moreWe used to come to this restaurant almost every week because it’s very close to our home. Sam always provided excellent service and took great care of us, making us feel a sense of friendliness and convenience.
Recently, we’ve been quite busy and haven’t visited as often. We came for lunch today, but unfortunately, the experience wasn’t a pleasant one. The menu prices have increased by $5, which is completely understandable given the current market conditions. As long-time customers, we wanted to order in the same way we had many times before — a combination of BBQ and hot pot meat selections — but the lady in charge refused our request. She then pretended another server was her manager and made a show of “asking” her, which was clearly dishonest. I recognized her — she usually works during dinner hours and on weekends, while Sam used to serve during weekday lunch times.
The issue isn’t about the price change, but rather the way she treated returning customers and the small deceptive tricks she used, which was truly disappointing.
Now that Sam is no longer here, the restaurant has lost its appeal for us. If we come back in the future, we might only be reminded of the time she tried to deceive us — and that certainly won’t help...
Read moreI can’t say enough good things about Legend Hot Pot and Grill! This is hands down the best all-you-can-eat hot pot in the area. From the moment we walk in, we’re greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The food is consistently delicious, with a wide variety of fresh ingredients to choose from.
What truly sets Legend Hot Pot apart is the exceptional service. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, often recognizing my family and me from our many visits. They go above and beyond to ensure we have a great time, even helping us cook our food on the BBQ when they’re not busy. It’s those little touches that make a big difference.
And let’s not forget the little perks: my daughter has scored small toys, kid-friendly chopsticks, and even occasional fries. It’s these thoughtful gestures that make us feel valued as customers. After countless disappointing dining experiences at other restaurants, Legend Hot Pot has become our go-to spot. The reasonable prices and warm atmosphere make every visit enjoyable. We always leave feeling satisfied and happy, which is why we keep...
