I needed a room in between a long international flight and a cancelled domestic connection. I cannot say enough about this Hampton Inn, especially considering the good price and comparing to other stays at typical American hotel chains. The staff was so kind and informative from the hotel shuttle driver to the front desk. My toiletries were in my checked bag, so they kindly provided some supplies. Given I had an early flight, the hotel offered to book the airport shuttle for me (as it can run 24/7 but only on request for odd hours). There is an option to make a breakfast bag but I left too early for it. I see some of the negative reviews complaining about the irregularity of the shuttle, but it worked great for me as long as I communicated about the schedule. You can always Uber for a very small price to meet very specific time needs. I see some of the negative reviews discussing construction which I believe was completely finished by the time of my stay. About an hour after I got to my room, I got a text from the front desk staff ensuring I was happy with the room. I found the facilities to be renovated, clean, and large. The shuttle was also clean. You can't beat the very short distance from this hotel to Newark Airport. My room was physically close to the AirTrain but I actually couldn't hear it at all. The area is surprisingly quiet for a busy urban space.

Hi, my stay was during mid July 2024. There is parking in the compound but it’s $20 per night for customers. Since we had a morning flight and the current check in time was 4pm, the hotel let us keep our baggage safely in their luggage room which is warmly appreciated. The hotel price includes breakfast which is from 6am till 10am. There was scrambled eggs, mapled sausages, boiled eggs, oats, cranberry juice, apple juice, cinnamon muffins, oats muffins, fried breaded potatoes, different kinds of bread and butter. There is hot water, coffee and different types of tea bags always available at the cafeteria. There won’t be any water available inside the room but there was a water filling area and ice available in our floor (4th floor, but couldn’t find any in 2nd floor). In the hotel room they had neatly placed every toiletries need for a bath but not for brushing. It is not mandatory for three stars hotels to provide the same and it might be available if requested, I didn’t try requesting. And during the morning the water was yellow for a few hours but got fixed by the time we came after breakfast (around 10am). That’s why I’ve given a 4 star instead of 5. I would suggest they provide a kettle so that the customers can heat up the water in their own rooms instead of going all the way down for hot water. The lifts are very slow too. Hope this helps.

It's a fine airport hotel. I had an early morning flight and since Hampton Inns rarely disappoint me, I figured it would be a good choice. The airport shuttle was reliable, just let the front desk know what time if you're leaving early or late. The room was fine, though mine had a stale smell, needed some febreeze. Left too early to try the breakfast. Overall a fine spot if you need to get to the airport
