Starting mid-2024, I experienced severe insomnia, waking 30-50 times nightly. My sleep quality was abysmal, leading to extreme irritability. After a week of virtually no sleep, I suspected allergies or sleep apnea. I consulted numerous doctors in the US and, during a trip to Taiwan, sought additional medical advice there. Both US and Taiwanese physicians conducted thorough sleep studies and allergy tests, but found no conclusive cause. I tested negative for allergies and sleep apnea, leaving them puzzled. Eventually, a doctor suggested autonomic dysfunction and prescribed sedatives and sleeping pills. While these medications induced sleep, they resulted in significant cognitive side effects: slowed thinking and severe memory impairment, hindering my daily life.
Desperate for relief, I reluctantly tried acupuncture at the recommendation of a friend, seeing Dr. Zou. To my surprise, she pinpointed the issue as severe muscle and nerve tension, possibly connected to autonomic dysfunction, and cautioned against the long-term dangers of continued sedative use. Initially skeptical of acupuncture, which I viewed as mystical, I was astounded by the results. After a two-hour session, I experienced my first restful night in months. My previous state was debilitating; I struggled to comprehend complex sentences and maintain focus, making meetings a torturous experience.
Following my initial appointment, I visited Dr. Zou 2-3 times weekly. Within 3 weeks, my Fitbit sleep data showed a dramatic improvement, with over two hours of deep sleep, a stark contrast to the complete absence of deep sleep I had previously endured. Dr. Zou's treatment has been transformative.
Dr. Zou has drastically improved my quality of life, far beyond just sleep. She is a compassionate and skilled practitioner. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking holistic health solutions. She is an exceptional doctor, characterized by her kindness and patience.

Read moreAcupuncture with Dr. Jingjing has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my health. I’ve been dealing with feeling persistently cold for years but bloodwork always came back normal with no iron deficiency. It had gotten so bad that whenever I felt cold, my body would start to hurt and no amount of layers of clothes or blankets ever left me feeling warm enough. Within a matter of seconds of her examination, she identified that my internal organs were cold/frozen. It sounded weird but I trusted her expertise. She was even able to show me that what she was saying was true when I started moxabustion (moxa for short) with her, a process to help warm me up internally. While doing moxa, she would leave needles in my body while I took a nap for at least an hour. I’d wake up from my nap, she’d take needles out and the needles would be cold, as if they hadn’t just been sitting in my body for over an hour. After listening to her advice about diet changes, and doing moxa consistently for a couple months, I no longer deal with feeling persistently cold anymore. Seriously life changing! She’s also helped me with a number of other pains such as in my wrist, achilles heel, and knee and an allergic reaction she was somehow able to connect to something I ate. She put a needle in my foot for it and the allergic reaction cleared up 90% the next day. She’s highly intuitive, super efficient and friendly. As someone who doesn’t particularly like needles and is even a little scared of them, I look forward to my appointments with her because she has helped me tremendously and she’s amazing at what she does. I could go on and on about how gifted she is but instead I’ll say that if you’ve been on the fence about going to acupuncture - visit her! The results she can produce is...
