Well... I waited almost a week to write my review so I could fully process the experience. We purchased the couple's package (jacuzzi) and ended up coming in a day early. We were greeted warmly by the front desk staff and taken to a small locker room to change. We were given two robes and one set of slippers the type of slippers you get when you get a pedicure. My girlfriend asked for her set of slippers and was given a dirty pair. Although we noticed it we didn't make a big deal about it. We then were ushered to the massage jacuzzi room in the back on the left. The room setup was pretty. Big jacuzzi, candles, two massage tables... great set-up. Our masseuses came in (one male, one female) and started to set up. They turned the jacuzzi on and left out, came back roughly 7 minutes later and I asked if they put bubbles or oil in the jacuzzi because I'm allergic to most bath soap. The young woman said she put soap in it and my girlfriend told her I was allergic to soap. We'd both had an extremely long flight and we were both looking forward to the massage, soak, and I also was looking forward to a facial. The young lady then stopped speaking English and switched to Spanish. Body language said she was annoyed but she said to the gentleman that they definitely wouldn't leave on time and I should have told her earlier. I didn't respond or let her know that I understand Spanish. They let the water out, left for 10 minutes, came back started the water and then started the massage. I was disappointed with my massage. There wasn't enough pressure. I asked the young lady when she got to my neck and shoulders for more pressure and she began to chop my shoulders. This was probably the worst massage I've ever had. Not for her lack of trying but I just don't think she was strong enough. My girlfriend finished the neck massage with the much needed pressure. With this package was supposed to come chocolate fruit and wine. What we got was crackers wine and granola mix. Upon leaving we asked why there was no chocolate or fruit and we were told that they buy it fresh today of them because since we change the date they were unable to comply with that request. So, if you change your appointment, be sure to ask them if they'll be able to provide the chocolate and fruit. After getting dressed I went to the front and I asked about the facial and then was told that the woman had left for the night. They told me to come back tomorrow and I responded with a very clear no. I asked for the service when I walked in and I was told they would be able to accommodate me and they did not. To top it off...they tried to charge us more than what was listed in their brochure and what was quoted. My girlfriend took care of that though. Overall the experience was probably 1 star. The jacuzzi was nice and I liked the crackers and wine so I gave 2 stars. I wouldn't go back even if it was given as a gift. Super disappointed in the service. If you are going for the massage, I would go somewhere else. Be very specific when you speak to them about what you are getting. Be very clear about price as well and please look at the brochure that's on the desk when you walk in. If you're going for the jacuzzi, go. The jacuzzi is very nice and if you speak Spanish, don't tell them. Listen to the conversation they'll have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAlthough the Salon/ Spa is beautiful, the front desk receptionist was rude and made me not want to book again. I recently moved to Newark, NJ and have been looking for a new wax place since the European Wax Center is getting expensive. I noticed that the Rejuve salon offered a $15 Brazilian wax voucher which was a steal, so I decided to use it to try the place out for the first time.
The service was good, my wax lady ( Monica) was nice and thorough. When checking out though, once I mentioned I was using a groupon for the service, the receptionist immediately rolled her eyes and whispered loud to my wax lady that I was using a groupon which made her roll her eyes too. Then instead of asking if I would like to rebook for a future service, she just said " the groupon can only be used once and if you plan to use it again, you will have to wait till next year, BYE."
I was shocked because I actually wanted to book for next month and check out other services they offered. She literally turned away a FUTURE REGULAR CUSTOMER. The regular price for their Brazilian wax service is only $35 so I really thought I found my new wax place. She then started to walk away and I had to say " Can I at least tip for the service???"
I didn't understand the rudeness, why get mad at people using groupon if your salon offers it. Isn't that the point of Groupon? To bring new customers in and possibly gain new clientele. Her attitude was so off putting that I didn't even bother to book again. She literally let money walk out of the door. I'm a hairstylist and have worked in spas and salons and you NEVER do that. She didn't even ask if I wanted to tip. That is money out of the esthetician's pockets.
I would rather pay $70 or more at the European Wax Center and get treated with respect, than be judged for a coupon that was offered in the first place.
Also just a tip: the salon doesn't use hard wax, they use wax strips which make the process a little more painful. If you're used to hard wax and don't like too much pain when waxing, then I would avoid...

Went in for a hot stone massage and a facial.
I walked out of my massage, and I never have done that before.
Iāve experienced several hot stone massages but this one was different. Never in a massage have I been asked to lay flat on my back first before getting my back actually massaged. The massage was more of a ārubbing oilā but not working through the kinks. Then I asked the massager to focus on my pain points like my back and my shoulders and was told itās coming and that I need to relax.
Relaxing was a bit hard when 20 minutes in, my eye mask was removed and then my face was massaged which was weird because it was supposed to be a body massage and I was also supposed to get a facial after. So rubbing oil on my face honestly upset me.
Then it got even worse.
My blanket was removed from the top area and my breast were then covered with a towel. This was a bit odd because why was then my stomach massaged. It was just the oddest massage ever and I said you know what, I think Iām going to just leave.
I told the massager I had to use the bathroom and took my chance to tell the front desk. They had some nerve to try to charge me for the whole massage saying I was 45 minutes in. Which was false, it was 30 minutes and even WORSE that I wasnāt relaxed for the 30 minutes.
Long story short, I had to wait to get it resolved rather than an immediate customer service resolution. I ended up paying $47 for what I got but honestly Iām disputing with my bank because what did I even pay for?
I could have went...
