Extra Space Storage — Attraction in Niceville

I really REALLY wanted to give a 5 star review here. Sadly, that just can’t be the case right now. The facility, which is relatively new, seemed promising. The front desk personnel (Dave) was extremely helpful during move-in. Within less than 2 weeks as a tenant, however, Is when I encountered my first issue. Both elevator banks went down on a Sunday and there was no after hours phone number to help resolve my issue of getting things from my unit to my vehicle. I had to hand carry everything down flights of stairs. After leaving numerous voicemails on the facility number, I finally was able to get a hold of Dave (the next day) and he helped me come up with a solution of getting a first floor unit. The problem is, I live out of town and could not relocate for a few weeks. For the inconvenience, I thought all fees would be waived.. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Terri, who was super nice, assured me my account/gate access was the same and even mentioned that if I had an issue with the gate, the app would allow me to access the gate. Fast-forward to today when I went to the facility before catching an early morning flight to unload. Apparently, my after hours access was never transferred to the new unit. I literally have thousands of dollars of equipment in a vehicle that I have to figure out what to do with until I return again next month. The app did not have a remedy to access the gate. The “after hours” agent was not helpful at all either. Nor could I leave a voicemail at the local facility like I could previously. I’m hoping to remedy this today and amend my review but at the moment I’m super frustrated as someone who needs to be able to depend on my storage facility being operable during after hours or have someone on standby that can be reached with emergencies. if you plan on renting a unit for after hours use, proceed...

I definitely recommend Extra Space Storage Niceville FL. to anyone who needs a safe, accessible, clean, gated, facility with absolutely amazing Facility Management. Mr. David and his teams friendliness, helpfulness, responsiveness, to whatever need that may come into play; their overall professionalism in communicating, managing, and maintaining the facility as well as my every need no matter how big or small, has made this experience wonderful to say the least! I recently needed a larger unit than due to the sudden and unexpected passing of my husband and Mr. David’s help, dedication, and understanding during this process was absolutely phenomenal. I have kept my possessions with Extra Storage Space for over a year and they are great! It began as a one or two month stay, but life happened and these people are great. David was always accessible and helped me through each phase. He explained upcoming specials and tailored my needs to the deals they have going on. And when I moved out, David saw that I had some old family heirlooms, I really was not ready to move because I was worried they would break or become damaged, he suggested to me a 5X5 that was perfect at less than $25 a month. It is such a nice unit, I still have a few things in it now . Thank you David. Also, a thank you to Wendy for your help getting me situated. I recommend Extra Storage to anyone moving anytime soon.
