Baseball like it was when I was a kid, without pretentious salaries and egos...a small town feel, not a bad seat in the place, friendly and helpful staff, clean restrooms, family oriented and some entertaining games with spectator contestants to keep it fun. The "build the cheesburger" competition gets an A+ for creativity!

$3 for parking is a good deal and unheard of in sports and the ticket prices are unbelievably inexpensive, but the only small negative I have is that the concession prices are in line with pro sports. There are a lot of options for eating and they did look good, but you probably don't want to come hungry or thirsty unless you have deep pockets.

We've been there a number of times over the years, and I really encourage you to go and support a wonderful local, family friendly venue in which to watch America's Pastime....

Eastwood Field and the Mahoning Valley Scrappers are underappreciated assets of our region.

Eastwood Field is a great little ballpark. It's always clean, has good food and drink options, tickets are affordable for a family, and they run non-stop ticket deals... General Admission tickets for the cost of a canned food item on Sundays, Thursday $1 nights, and veterans get two box tickets on Wednesdays. Because the ballpark is small, there really aren't any bad seats, you'll see the whole game from anywhere.

While the Scrappers aren't a minor league team anymore, they're fun to watch. The guys are young and trying to launch their professional careers so they play a good game. This year (2023) isn't their year, but they do have some talent on the team.

Catching a Scrappers game at Eastwood Field is one of the best ways to spend 3-4 hours...
