Ordered a pasta dish was steak and shrimp, and I was asked if I wanted a salad with it for $2 or $2.99 more (I can't remember). I asked if it could be a Ceasar salad and was told yes. The salad was good, but the dressing was quite tangy, maybe over vinegary? I'm not sure. I also found out when the bill came that it was $5+ for that salad. If I had known that I was going to be charged more for that, I wouldn't have gotten it.
The steak and shrimp were delicious. No complaints on either of those, I absolutely loved both of those. But the pasta was certainly lacking. It didn't have enough sauce on it, there were noodles stuck together (left to sit too long), there were some that were not quite cooked thoroughly (and no, they were not al dente). For a dish that cost almost $25 the whole thing should have been delicious, not just the meat.
My son got the children's Mac and cheese with the steamed vegetables. I didn't try the vegetables so I can't say anything about those. The portion sizes for both were impressive for the children's orders, though. Usually children's menu portions are small and pathetic, but these were great. However, I tried his Mac and cheese and it was pretty bland.
My boyfriend got some kind of onion steak that he said was perfect and delicious. I'm not surprised, because they did great on the meat. He also got an order of soup and really liked it.
The dessert we ordered was huge. We split it between all three of us. I wasn't too impressed with the bloomin onion appetizer we ordered. It tasted over cooked. I used to love the dipping sauce it came with years ago, but it seems like they changed it. The blueberry lavender lemonade I ordered was delicious.
The service we received was really good as well. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. She came back to our table several times, refilled drinks, and asked if we needed anything. It was great service. Everyone that was working was very friendly and nice.
All in all, for the price of the place, I expect everything to taste great. But the service and the people...
Read moreWe were sat fairly quickly upon arrival. Waited 10 min for someone to come take our drink order and just as long for someone else to bring the 3 waters that we ordered. Notes that you could audibly hear several people sharing their dissatisfaction didn't really add to my high hopes of a good meal. We ordered waited probably better than 20 minutes to get 2 house salads and a bowl of soup. Followed by about the same amount of time to get our entrees. 3 steaks all different sizes all supposed to be cooked a differently, all poorly cooked at best. My wife sent hers back and they still couldn't get it correct. There was absolutely no flavor to any of the steaks it was almost as if they had ordered the lowest quality meat that they were able to purchase. The steamed vegetables should have just came out raw they were so hard. My daughter said her lobster tail was good so that was a positive. Brought this to the waitress' attention and she immediately went and got a gentleman that was either a regional manager or corporate manager. He was very kind and took the steaks off of our bill. He caught me off guard by asking if we wanted them to try to cook other steaks for us or if we wanted to take the ones that we had home. "Absolutely not"! I wouldn't have even tried to feed those to my dog they were that bad. As he brought our bill out so we could pay for the rest of the meal he again asked if there was anything he could get for us because he didn't want us to leave and have to go to McDonald's or something because we were still hungry. At this point the attempt at meat the McDonald's serves would have be of better quality than what we were served. Our waitress was great even the manager was great I just don't think he was prepared for the amount of people that were complaining about the food or amount of time they were waiting for the basics. I feel horrible for these folks because they are going to have a long evening if things keep up the way...
Read more5-9-21 My family and I went here a couple weeks ago and the food was horrible. The service wasn't bad, but the food just didn't taste good. We went back today to celebrate Mother's day. Oh my gosh!!! We checked in through the mobile app, and inside, at 345pm, at 5pm we were seated and got some cokes, and the 3 kids got their drinks. We ordered a bloomin onion and it came out pretty quick. We ordered quickly, because we had time to look at the menu with the wait time. So we ordered, and around 615pm we finally got our food. The food came out cold, the only thing hot was a baked potato that I had with my steak. The steak did not taste good, the kid's chicken tenders and fries was not even warm. My steak was not even warm. And the waitress said she just pulled it from the window. So....it took us from 345 until 615 just to get seated and get food, which was horrible! We will not be going back anytime soon if at all. We do not go to other restaurants in the area because of the same reasons. The management there is joke. They need to step up their game and get more organized. There is no need for 4 hosts just standing there. A big party was there waiting and finally got seated at a table that was cleaned off and ready to go for about 15 minutes, and then the hostess finally got them seated. Ridiculous!!! I am not happy with Outback at all, and I hope if you have similar experiences with them, that you take the time to review them. Good or bad. It just so happens that the last couple times have been horrible!!!! The waitress Dua D, was good at her job and I have no...
