I am beyond happy with my time. I have never had a seafood boil in my life. I walked in to the experience believing I wouldn’t like the food. Man was I wrong, this place was amazing. The atmosphere was delightful, and the food was beyond incredible. Me and my boyfriend went for our first time and were not disappointed. We got the number 5 on the combos, so we got the 1.25lbs of. Crab legs, 1 lb of shrimp and 1lb of crawfish. We split it for two, it came with two corn and two potato’s with sausage. We got the king Cajun seafood flavor and went with a mild spice. I can’t even begin to tell you how enjoyable this dish was. If I could tell everyone in the area I would, this place is a hidden gem. The crab legs were better than red lobsters, with the amount of meat I got out of them. This was such an amazing experience. This place will get my money once a month since I live so close. The savory aspect of the sauce with the food just makes me wish that I ordered more. It was my most favored experience all year. The drinks are decently priced and they were all pretty delicious, at least the few we had. Next time we will try a fish bowl but it was pretty nice they had them as an option. This is a place to go on a fun date, or take the family. Get messy, you use your hands but they do provide gloves and bibs, I suggest tying your bib tight because mine came off half way. Be careful cracking crab legs, I got sauce in my eye, which was unpleasant, but the food was so good I kept trying to eat with one eye open. I never rant and rave about a place this much. But again WOW just...
Read moreOrdered a $16.99 bacon cheeseburger. Told waitress ketchup, mustard and mayo. Ordered regular cheeseburger $13.99. My sandwiches arrived and I asked where is the mustard. The girl told me the restaurant doesn’t have mustard. I said, “well I ordered mustard. If I would’ve known you didn’t have mustard, I would’ve not ordered this sandwich.” She looked at me, didn’t say anything and walked away. We took the buns off to add our condiments this is what we saw inside. Nobody came over for twelve minutes to ask us how our food was. So I literally had to stand up and say through the restaurant, ‘ Can we get some help back here?’ So when they came back, I showed them how there was one tiny pickle a little bit of onion. The sandwich was full of lettuce. And it wasn’t lettuce that goes on a sandwich. This is that shredded chopped up lettuce that you would add to a taco or underneath a garnish. I told him we didn’t have any mustard and I didn’t want to eat the sandwich because it’s not what I ordered. And the lady friend I was with took two bites out of her sandwich and it was rubbery. The manager came back from the kitchen area with my bill for the alcohol beverage and said he apologizes and he did go into the back and that sandwich was rubbery and horrible. It was at 4:30 PM on a Saturday evening and there was only four customers in the restaurant. That should’ve gave me the heads up right there that nobody goes there for...
Read moreThe restaurant was clean, and our server was super sweet and attentive. The appetizers were great, but the seafood boil itself was just okay. I’ve had better seafood boils in Maryland. My boyfriend and I weren’t really into the King Cajun Seafood Special Sauce. I usually go for house special sauces since they’re usually good, but this one just didn’t hit the spot. We ordered the hot spice level, but it wasn’t spicy at all, and the sauce had this creamy taste—maybe they added flour or cornstarch to thicken it? I prefer my seafood boil sauce to be zesty and spicy. We ended up ordering a side of Cajun garlic butter sauce instead, and that was way better in my opinion. I also wish I had asked for a side of lemon slices (my bad), it would’ve made the flavors pop more with some extra zest and tang.
One thing I really liked about the restaurant was that their seafood sizes were enormous! The shrimp and crawfish were jumbo-sized, and the Dungeness crab was packed with meat. Oh, and a heads up, when we ordered extra corn, we thought it would be three cut pieces, but it was actually three whole corn cut into thirds. So yeah, no need to order extra corn unless you really love it. We ended up leaving with a whole bag of corn. I guess that will be my lunch and dinner for tomorrow. Now that I know what I enjoy, I will definitely be...
