Hot Topic — Local services in Niles

I’ve always loved hot topic but lately I’ve changed my mind. Since this pandemic the employees are like hawks when you walk into that store. It is extremely uncomfortable. I went there today with my mother and right when I walked in (me and my mother were the only people in there) my mother lifted her mask down for not even a second to take a sip of her coffee and the employee in the matter of seconds went up in my mothers face and rudely told her to put her mask back up. Keep in mind she was only taking a sip of her coffee and we were more than 6 feet from this employee. It is absolutely ridiculous to be this rude. I’ve worked in retail and so has my mother and we as employee are not supposed to do this. Bad employee. Really need to mind their own business and not wait around and watch customers the whole time in the store. I’ve shopped here since I was in middle school and they will not see me in that store again or get a penny of my money and you can blame the employee and how they are rudely handling this pandemic. I might even call corporate on these employees on how rudely they approached my mother when she was just taking a sip...

Bought "Halloween costumes " for my granddaughter, which is really just a beautiful pink sweater and pleated black skirt! Her and friends are going to be the Mean Girls! lol. FUNNY considering they're ALL the Sweetest bunch of adorable girls! But the young girl was very helpful I don't want to put her name on here, but she has straight blonde hair and is at the Eastwood Mall! (I shouldn't forget the dark short haired girl) her and Bug started talking about "Mean Girls Movie" (obviously I have not seen this movie) lol so it was really nice experience and hey it's a really cute outfit.... she'll be able to wear it as an everyday outfit after...

I hate going in there. Thankfully it's only around Christmas when I'm looking for gifts. The music needs to be brought down several decibels so I can not only hear myself think, but to also hear the employees when they talk to me.
