I went to this place on Buford HWY and I purchase a Excalibur 2 way alarm system about a month ago. The two guys who did my installation can not speak English and I had to drove my car all the way to the Hispanic Mall on Buford HWY where these guys working under a shed and using CVS light to work at night. Anyway, when these guys finished with my car they left expose wires on the battery. If you look in the picture below the original wire is red and black that come with the alarm system, but the add some gray and pink wire as extension. When they finish my driver side speaks stop working and the steer wheel was rubbing against the something. I was told to come back the next day because they could not set up the remote start part which the own( Joann more) told me that the need to bypass the car manufacture alarm system. I told him i do not want the key in the box module, yet still when I went back for then to finish the job they request for an extra key. When they finished i realized they use the key as in the box which that' as what I did not want from the beginning. These guys did not stop to explain to how the alarm work until I ask for the manual and then get their attention which they brief demonstrate how it work with the owner on the phone telling me they could not do the trunk remote open because it is extra wire work, bare in mind car came with remote open already. Yesterday i discover my driver sign mirror not moving so I when back to the shop and he own had an attitude with me which he claim that it was over a month and the motor must be bad , I did not disagree with him which could be a possibility but my issue is that it was working fine before these guys install the alarm. One of his other guys came to check it at his store and he came out side shouting at me that I need to listen to him that it has nothing to do with the installation. I had to put him in check and let him know that i came because I start to notice issue on the left side of my car after they did they installation. The own does not know how to talk to customers and he feel he is superior more that every body who comes to him. If you don not believe me go by there and check how he talk. I will never go back there I was going to take another car for installation but I prefer to go else where because know I refuse to be insulted when I paid my money which the work was done was not professional. The own also told me if I review this bad experience he will sue me . Wow! I guest is a new world order now that you can not voice your own experience if it is not good. Don't go there if you want quality work.

Avoid at all cost. Absolutely unprofessional owner. I will start off by saying I always support local business, and I am a repeat customer at Chavez Audio, I've had over 4 stereo systems installed in various vehicles throughout the years, I've recommended them to many of my friends, I always avoid places like Best Buy because I feel that small shops deserve business more. This was the worst experience I had with this shop over 4 years, repeat loyal customer. Something has changed with the owner, his attitude was very foul. He wouldn't price match anything, his selection is limited, he has stickers for Kenwood but doesn't carry any Kenwood. Not only did they damage my car, but I basically sat around for 3 hours because he was installing a "much more expensive system" on another customers vehicle. I understand that you're running a business but don't treat repeating customers like trash. I also understand why he has a sign now that says "No refunds, all sales final, exchanges only" it's because he does sloppy work such as the work done to my car and I am sure he's had issues in the past. When I brought up pricing the owner audibly laughed at me and stated "hey man why are you trying to save a couple of dollars". It's called being a conscioentious consumer, and not getting ripped off. Everything in this store is overpriced. I will never recommend this store to anyone and tell them to go to Best Buy instead from now on. I will also be reposting this experience on many other sites, reaching out to the BBB as well as my credit card. For almost $400 of work I expect a level of professionalism.

I went to Chavez Electronics after going to Arman’s Car Audio the day before. Arman’s Car Audio charged me $1100 to replace 4 door speakers and tweeters. However the speakers sounded bad, and one of the speakers did not even work. Arman’s Car Audio said I just need to install a subwoofer for $900 to make it better. I was told that my stereo, Sony 9500es was not a good stereo and that it had bad audio output. I was told an amplifier would not help much. The next day I went to Chavez Electronics, where the employee Geronimo was working. Geronimo took one look at my stereo and said it’s one of the best on the market. I asked him to check my door speakers connections to find out why one was not working, and to also install an amplifier and subwoofer. Geronimo and his team checked all the speaker connections and found that Arman’s car audio had hooked up a speaker in reverse: positive wire to negative wire. And in another speaker had its wire exposed and short-circuiting against the frame of the car. Geronimo took pictures for proof. Arman’s car audio had also used 2” tweeters in my car when my car actually uses 3” tweeters, and charged me $200 for the tweeter installation. In comparison, Geronimo charged me $60 for the tweeter replacement installation. In the end, Geronimo charged me $1700 for an amplifier, subwoofer, tweeters, and installation. I was satisfied with the quality of work and the end result. I will definitely recommend Chavez Electronics over any other car audio shop.

SCAMMER ALERT! Make sure you request a receipt for all services provided if you still decide to use this business, which I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. So I initially wrote a glowing review about this business. HOWEVER after my most recent experience, if I could give zero stars I would. Today I paid another visit due to an issue I was having with my inverter connected to my amp. I came prior to today due to issues with the sound system in my car. During my initial visit, I was informed the amp went out and so I paid to have the amp replaced. I was also informed that the inverter needed replacing so I agreed AND paid for the part and service here. What was a downfall on my behalf is I did not request a receipt for the added service of replacing the inverter. Fast forward to today, the owner who I initially worked with, completely switched up on me and claims he never told me about the part along with claiming he never installed it. He talked over me repeatedly as I was attempting to remind him, and also tried to charge me $100 for another part. I eventually left and said "that is messed up." As I am walking to my car he comes outside of his establishment and yells obscenities at me for refusing service, which, in turn, makes me gets out of character. I can't fail to mention that I went to another location immediately after called Traffic Jam Motorsports. They were able to quickly identify what was actually a minor issue and fixed it within 2 mins and did not try to charge me a ridiculous fee. Overall, the owner of THIS place is a SCAMMER so beware and do your research. He will provide amazing service upon your initial visit and turn his back the following visit if you come back to say something isn't working from a service he provided. He could have easily said the part is bad and I need another one. In spite of being scammed, I would have accepted that response. BUT to deny you provided a service that you did indeed do, attempt to charge me for something I later found out I didn't need, and curse at me as I am walking out is beyond...

I recently visited Chavez Electronics this past Saturday, November 23rd to have my 12" sub-woofer and amp installed in my 2017 Chevy Camaro. I found them on google and they had over 300 google reviews & 4+ stars, so I felt confident coming here knowing my car would sound perfect when I left. I arrived around 10:45 am and the store was not open. I called before I arrived to make sure they were not busy (called the store at 10:38am, arrived at 11:05 am and said he would be there soon, and then finally arrived around 11:30am.) He came in, asked me what equipment I already had and then told me the other things i needed (wiring kit $49.99, i needed a smaller box, so a ventilated 12" box $65, the converter kit $149 and then charged $120 for labor. I finally left around 2:15pm and he didn't seem to have tested out my system like he should have before I left. When I pulled off and got down the road I noticed my sub was not putting out the amount of power that it has before in the past. Also, there was an echoing sound, the sub is giving off some type of interference and is not wired correctly. I called the shop back to tell the owner and he said something along the lines of "yes there is another wire somewhere we couldn't find it, thats causing that echo noise, just bring it back and we can find it and fix it." If you were aware before I left that you had done an incomplete job, then why would you allow your customer to leave or not disclose that information. He said that newer cars have been making changes so he didn't know where the cord was that's causing the interference. I will be returning today & requesting a partial/full refund for the labor. This was the worst experience I've had, no waiting area for customers, I sat in a fold out lawn chair while I waited as another person left in their review as well. Just be careful and do your homework. I'm regretting not going back to Arman's car audio to have my audio installation done. But I will definitely never visit here again or recommend...
