amazing service, great food, great vibes, great people. A lot of businesses nowadays seem to miss the mark that experience accounts for most of your clientele and this place exceeded any expectations I could ever have and more, from beginning to end.
I never stepped foot in here so I was curious to see what it was like, and to try something different away from the busy suburbs. We walked into the pub and were happy to know there was a live band playing, that always sets the tone for me anywhere I go, they were really good and the small but lively crowd seemed to love them too. We sit down, look around and notice how clean and well decorated it is, I absolutely loved the chandeliers that hung through the establishment, it already was beginning to feel like a different experience, and this was pointing in the right direction.
Our waiter, Murad(I'm so sorry if I butchered it) greeted us with a very friendly and positive attitude that made me feel at ease, and needless to mention he had a pretty cool beard. We asked about beers and specials, and he quickly gave us recommendations and even gave me a sample to try, I was impressed with the level of patience he displayed when I continued to ask questions.
Shortly after our drinks came out he offered us the menu and oh boy that's where the fun began; the menus are designed in an awesome industrial newspaper style that quite honestly took the experience to a whole new level for me, I was no longer just having a drink I was actually creating an experience that I will remember forever.
We spent quite some time looking over everything because for the first time in a while I could not decide what I wanted, everything looked delicious and appetizing and the foodie in me could not resist. We ordered the homemade pies and the grande nachos but honestly, I wanted to order the entire menu, the foodie in me was delighted and could not stop rocking side to side because I was peeking with food happiness. The food was delicious just as I expected, I felt the authenticity and dedication they must've put into the creation of their menu.
I will add that the salsa that was on the side of the nachos was a store brand but I overlooked it because everything else was going so well. The bathroom could've used a little bit of cleaning at the moment but we all know that men are just messy creatures, I wasn't expecting the bathroom at the four seasons but it is still worthy to mention in this review.
I'm so excited about my next visit and I'm looking forward to trying all of the deliciousness that's compiled in their menu, A MUST DO FOR FOODIES.
I seriously cannot thank this place enough, and mainly my waiter Murad for how prompt, swift, and detailed the service was. I was beginning to lose hope in the restaurant industry but Iron Horse Tavern just reset all of my...

The full review: Our visit was a little bit complicated because we arrived at 9:40pm on Karaoke night with our friends who had their infant and 6 year old with them. Because of the karaoke, they said we had to leave because of the kids at 10pm. They were very nice about telling us - even the manager came over to talk to us and everyone was laughter and smiles. We worked out that we could sit on the patio and be fine, so we finished ordering drinks and headed outside (food was already started because we ordered before they realized we'd have an issue with having the kids there). Our waitress was only on her fourth day so she didn't realize we sat on the smoking side of the patio. We were served our food and a second round of drinks before a more seasoned waitress (we joked with her that she got the short straw) told us we needed to move to the no smoking side since a couple of patrons wanted to smoke but we had an infant in the smoking section. They were still super nice, super apologetic, and we were perfectly fine with moving again because they were so awesome the rest of the night. They gave us a couple of extra glasses for the trouble (we originally got some with Sweetwater drinks as part of a special promotion). This was the fourth time I've eaten here, the second time I have had the nachos (HOLY MOLY THEY'RE AMAZING NACHOS), and definitely my favorite place in Gwinnett County for food and drink. Thanks, Iron Horse!...
Read moreWhat a dump! The unkept landscaping & cheap plastic plant on the patio should have been the first hint. While I was there the drains behind the bar clogged & foul smelling water flooded behind the bar. That was just the beginning, look up! They keep it dark in there so you can't see all the ripped upholstery, the fact that all the stain & varnish are wore off the booths & tables, then on top of that all the dust & cobwebs hanging above you from their "decorations" come sprinkling down on you every time a door opens a breeze comes into the dining room. AND I have to mention the smell in the men's bathroom! So I'm supposed to eat at a place where the bar floods & the bathroom smells like they have a bad sewage leak. Also, as a bartender myself, don't order any drink that uses sour mix. It comes out of a gun & tastes horrible. Lastly, an "English Pub" with no English food. And for the uneducated Guinness & Harp are Irish beers, they could at least sell Bass...
