After 2 hours I knew most of the kitties names and personalities and I loved them. I had a blast being snubbed then loved by sassy Merlot. Read moreWalked in and paid for an hour. Was emailed a reservation at 2:13 by the staff for 2:30-3:30 (a timeframe they selected). No one said anything different so I thought we had until 3:30. It was not too busy when we arrived, but it kept getting busier and they were turning people away for later bookings. Then I was informed at 3:09 that our time was up and they had already let us stay an extra 9 minutes. The employee said our time was only booked until 3:00 (that if you arrive after the top of the hour you don’t get to stay the full hour, which no one mentioned when I paid). However, the email confirmation they booked us for said we had until 3:30, so this was confusing. If that’s the case why not book us from 2-3 and then communicate that from the beginning? We paid for an hour and stayed nearly that long, but lack of communication left my daughter in tears on the ride home, as she didn’t have much time to say goodbye. I did not appreciate that - as this was long awaited and supposed to be a special treat since we cannot have a cat of our own yet. When she was already in tears they offered to let her stay 2 more minutes, which I feared would only make it harder to leave at that point since she was already upset. Would have been fine leaving early if they had explained that when we paid. Not sure we...
Read moreAlways fun to see many cats! I want more cats if my husband would agree to have more than our 2 but still like to go see many of them at a time at some cat cafes when we visit an area that has one. It’s cheaper ($12) per person than the other 2 cat cafes I’ve been to in Virginia recently ($18 Harrisonburg, $20 DC). As a cat parent who’s done a lot of nutrition reading to fix my cats’ former issues and cut out a lot of stuff they used to get (cut fish and dry food), I think it would be good if they charged a bit more like $15+ and used that extra to give the cats each one wet food can a day (in addition to the existing dry food) to help the cats/prevent other health issues. I know that’s hard when it’s this many cats but the cost to visit is lower than other cat cafes right now, so admission cost increase could cover that. The cats overall seem happy seeing people. I don’t know how you get this many cats to get along together- we had enough trouble getting our 2 cats to accept each other over a period of weeks of slow introduction when we got the second one. That’s what amazes me when you get this many...
