We were very excited to have our daughter start in Hurrah Players last year into earlier this year. Unfortunately several of her classes were cancelled with no make up days. Not only was it frustrating that her class was constantly put on the back burner for other shows but we felt like money was being wasted with each cancelled class. In addition the communication was lacking. After driving all the way to Norfolk on a Wednesday in 5 five o'clock traffic, being greated by an angry man at the door who belittle us "people" for not ever checking our e-mail, we signed up for the e-mail notifications. Unfortunately this did not offer the solution we were hoping for as far as communication. We received several emails about rehearsals that had nothing to do with us but nothing regarding the cancelled classes or a so called performance on the last day of class which both my husband and I missed. Our daughter who was in the class wasn't even sure what was going on. We really feel like her class just wasn't a priority at all. So far this summer our daughter has been in two theater camps and without a doubt got more out of the two weeks in her last camp than she got out of an entire winter and spring season at Hurrah Players. In addition, after being in the first camp's musical production, she was immediately asked to fill a spot in another camp that started the next week. Im sure Hurrah Players is great for those who are much older maybe, but we are sad to say, we will have to take our...

We had an amazing experience renting from the new Hurrah Players TV and Film Academy! The space was very professionally set up, well stocked and added bonus everything we needed was all on one floor! This made our production process run smoothly and had us comfortably set up in one place! We greatly appreciated getting to use such a great space for our TV show in development! The crew was phenomenal to work with and the space was just perfect! The area was safe, secure and very conveniently located. Michael was incredible to work with and we will definitely be utilizing them again! Thank you all so much! Our talent and staff had a great time!

On a separate note, this space being available for local students with interest in theatre and film is an incredible opportunity! So much thought was put into this space and into helping expand the skills and talent of Hampton Roads! This will be a strong addition to the community and will promote incredible...

I would recommend the summer camp for children 8 years or older. My daughter is 6 years old and is still learning how to manage her emotions. The camp director kicked her out of camp early on the second day for yelling. She did not hit anyone or throw anything or use profanity. She was thrown out without being given the opportunity to cool down. I do not condone her behavior, but I feel that a summer camp geared toward small children should be equipped with staff who can manage big emotions. It costs too much for a child to be sent home just for yelling. There are also no policies in place that state what behavior will warrant a child to be kicked out of camp. I love what they learn and the performance on the last day of camp, but I'm extremely disappointed in how the situation with my daughter was handled and will not...
