Great place for an authentic Turkish meal! Once you walk in, your happily greeted by an associate at the store. Guess what, he is also Turkish from Istanbul. Hint, hint, restaurant name Istanbul Gyro and kebab! This is not just a coincidence! Lol Now onto the food, I ordered the lamb and beef plate with a side onion salad. I have provided the menu in the pictures. Also the meals are located there too. The meal came out hot off the grill in no time at all, maybe 5 minutes. I also had an appetizer of wrapped grape leaves rolled in rice and spices. The flavors melted perfectly together in my mouth. It was a moment when you just want to chew slowly and savor the pickled leaves flavorings on the rice.
The Greek salad was so fresh I looked around the store trying to find the gardener! The salad vegetables were crisp and seasoned with blue cheese and sauce. Very refreshing!
The lamb and beef platter also came with rice cooked to perfection. The lamb and beef took. me back to Istanbul and Antalya, Turkey from past visits.
So if your looking for good authentic Turkish cuisine, look no further than Istanbul Gyro and Kebab. Come for the food, stay because of the friendliness and great attitude...
Read moreI love Istanbul Gyro and Kebab!! Today was my second visit here. The first time I stopped in to get some food to go (after seeing yelp reviews). When I walked in the door the aroma hit me and I knew I was in heaven. I got a Beef Kebab and a Chicken Kebab to go. The dishes were amazing and had such great spices and herbs. Tzatziki sauce had great herbs and flavor too.
Today I had the Red Lentil Soup which was awesome. And I had the Charbroiled Meatball Platter (Kefte) and the meat was packed with great flavors and so was the rice and the salad. This place has flavors that will knock your socks off. I can't wait to go back and try more items on the menu. I got some Gyro Saute to go to have at work tonight. (The Gyro Saute I heated up at work and it was amazing - flavor that blew my mind)
The place is small and not fancy. But the service is great and friendly. The food is amazing and I wish I lived closer.
Great place and people and food.

Read moreThank God for making Gyro / Shawerma / Doner the only way it should be made... directly off the vertical spit cone and not reheated and grilled fajitas that most places in US sell as Gyro. It's a hole in the wall type of place so not much to say about the dine-in area. They got my order wrong but I will let it pass this time, I am just too happy to find a genuine gyro joint. However they can do even better by cutting the meat slivers a bit thinner and searing and braising the gyro a bit more (I should've told them to do that as they are probably catering to clients who are not familiar with authentic gyro.... next time i will) and using a better Pita bread than the one they are using. I can tell this brand from the yeasty smell it has and a bit of rough texture that is not what a good pita / pide bread should be. Also would advise them to add a bit of parsley or herbs to the sandwich and servis platter for a more authentic Mediterranean /...
