Read moreWe got married at Four Eleven York this summer and I am so glad we chose this gem when looking for a small outdoor wedding venue. It has everything you need and look for in a micro wedding venue: rooms, area for ceremony and cocktail hour, and options for a reception dinner all in close proximity to one another. Every inch of this place is absolutely beautiful with a warm vintage but modern charm and their gourmet dishes were are so good! All my guests still rave about their experience at the wedding. I even got to experience their regular menu because I got there a day before the wedding and their breakfast was so filling and tasty and the common areas were lovely. The spaces are clean and comfortable. We planned our wedding all the way from California so I was most thankful for the amazing staff and manager Malia who coordinated the wedding. She was so kind and easy to work with throughout the months leading up to the event. On the wedding day she was so calm, collected, and confident in how things will go, she handled everything with ease and made sure everything ran smoothly. She had everything figured out and even had backup plans in case things needed to be adjusted. Frankly, their spaces are so beautiful you don't even really need decorations (which was another reason why I loved this venue), but we created our own and when the team set up the tables for the reception, everything was perfect and the placements came out even better than I imagined. It was such a relief having a team like theirs on a day like that. My husband and I were just able to enjoy our day with all our loved ones without worrying about anything. The Inn is also perfectly located for a nice couples photoshoot, the surrounding neighborhood is charming and romantic. Our photographer Lauren Monty got us some unforgettable photos. The Inn at Four Eleven really is a 5-star experience. Whether you stay there for a night or choose to have an event, you won't regret your decision to go with them. The service is impeccable and the food is unforgettable. My husband and I will definitely be back. Thank you again Four Eleven for making our special day a...
Read moreI'm actually a wedding photographer (and didn't stay here myself although I did spend the whole day) but I'm reviewing because people need to know how amazing of a venue this is for small weddings/elopements! My couple decided to elope in Norfolk's Freemason District at the Inn because they loved how cute the cobblestone-street neighborhood is and because of how charming the Inn is itself. They booked the whole Inn for their family and wedding party to stay for the days surrounding their celebration.
As a photographer, I loved how much thought was put into the design of the rooms. The bride got ready in the room on the top floor and it made my job easy- Large windows and a skylight in the stairwell to let in plenty of light, neutral colored yet fun pattered walls, beautiful furnishings that made for great backgrounds when capturing their details, and a bright clean room off to the side for the bride to slip into her dress without the bridesmaids seeing- it all made for great pictures and a laid-back fun getting ready experience.
All day the staff was so helpful and friendly! And not just to the bride and groom, but to their family, and myself and the other vendors as well. They went out of their way to make sure that I had ordered something to eat and had a place to sit as well (which is less common than you might think + the food was delicious). When the wedding timeline needed to be adjusted on the fly, the Inn's event staff was easy to communicate and collaborate with so everyone was on the same page and things kept flowing smoothly.
The couple had their ceremony and dinner/reception in the backyard patio area and it was seriously so perfect for their small guest list. The staff was quick to transition the versatile space from ceremony to dinner during a short cocktail hour and the table setup turned out stunning! And the patio's bulb lights were bright enough to light photos and keep the magical ambiance of dining and dancing under the stars.
I'll definitely be recommending this venue to any couples wanting a small wedding...
