Tennis Courts — Local services in North Bergen

The tennis courts at Braddock Park are such a great local find! The location is super convenient, with beautiful views of the NYC skyline right nearby. The courts are public, free to use, and generally well-maintained, though some nets and lines could use a little refresh.

It can get busy, especially on weekends or after 5 PM, so going early is your best bet if you want a court without waiting. The atmosphere is friendly and chill—whether you’re a beginner or more experienced, it’s a great place to play.

Bonus: the park itself is huge, so it’s easy to pair your tennis session with a walk, jog, or picnic...

I love the spacious tennis court, but not the extremely rude and unprofessional booking service. We got double booked multiple times on weekends, even when we booked the court ahead of time. If you just pay attention and be polite to take the call for booking, it’s not hard to do the job. We just want to have a good time playing tennis like...

A lot of courts. Lit at night. But just a bit too much rules, constraints and bureaucracy… court reservations, 1 hour per person, checking IDs, no video recording, no more than 3 balls, not available due to school training until 6. There’s not even a water fountain nearby… it’s just a bit frustrating to play...
