My 1st going here was a great experience it’s def quite a bit of a hike if you know where your going, but for me every now/then I didn’t mind getting a little lost & then finding my way back to the trail.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to fully explore the whole thing bc parts of the trail were a swampland based on all the rain we had around 3/25/24.

Hopefully the next time I’m able to go there I can fully explore it better.

It would be nice if they had a map of the trail at the entrance of the trail for people to know where they’re going instead of just “going with the flow or hope for the best” bc I had no clue where I was going; luckily I remembered the...

Great spot to do some light hiking in North Haven. The vistas are pretty, and the old railroad stuff is very cool. I know they've put some real effort in to extend the trail, which is awesome. The only drawbacks are the occasional homeless person sleeping at the trail head in warm weather, the graffiti that really subtracts from the historical railroad structures, and the trail markings which get a tad deceiving the further you go. Pick a nice day and head out here, you won't be disappointed. *As of right now (January 2025), the trails are closed...

If I were with a group I'd have went further in. It's a really raw trail. Bends and turns. Blind spots. Right trees and branches. You can't really see ahead too far bc of trees and bushes. But the trail is clearly marked nonetheless. I just didn't feel comfortable going too deeply in alone. As I was leaving I saw more people going in. The views were magnificent. I wasnt the only one out there for photos. I could see going to just sit in the bench in peace. Wear bug spray, long pants and sleeves, and...

Better signage along road to left of Target store provides improvement in locating the trail head. However, years of neglect has allowed the pathway to be taken over by nature in some parts along the path. There are two posting attractions to this area - one is it proximity to the river and marsh. Certain points along the path provide great views. - secondly is the abandoned rail yard for rail fans. Remnants abounds in what once was a busy rail yard. Photographers will detect many vantage points for images.
