Starbucks — Restaurant in North Haven

I hesitated leaving a review of my last experience because it’s not always bad at this location, but that’s the point- it is so inconsistent. Your experience and level of service here depends on who’s helping you. They are usually understaffed, but some barista will manage to do it by themselves by hustling and staying professional. My last time here I ordered 1 drink, with only no one ahead of me. I waited over 10 minutes waiting for the barista to end her conversation with a target employee. She was rude and irresponsive. I cancelled my drink explaining that I’ve been waiting too long and she asked me which drink I wanted to cancel. There was only ONE order she was making! No one ahead of me and a poor woman waiting to make her order. Never coming back with this barista. She is just terrible. Absolutely horrible experience/unhelpful staff at this location (inside Target on Universal Dr in North Haven). Went in for a gift card at 3pm on a Sunday (note there were at least 5 groups of people drinking/eating in the Starbucks area) and was immediately told without even a hello by 1 of the 3 staff behind the counter that they were closed... Confused (because they are supposed to be open until 7), I asked what time they typically close and was told "normally 7 but we don't have any staff" (there were 3 of them!). I said ok but all I need is gift card, can you not just ring that out quickly? (The machines were still on and someone had just paid for and was stirring their cup of coffee.) I had 1 can if soda. Exactly 1 can of soda, the representative was standing on his phone doing nothing. There was no line and no customers at the Starbucks. He said he's not allowed to ring out 1 can of soda with cash, all the registers were card only. It was a $2 can of soda and he stated it wouldn't be fair to everyone else, when I went in line twice and found out the self check outs were card only. He was on his phone doing nothing and he clearly just didn't want to help. I am never coming...
