LongHorn Steakhouse — Restaurant in North Haven

We came in Saturday night around 920pm. The front smelled like weed which we originally thought could have been a customer. We thought service was going to be ok as the waitress came quickly to get the drink and appetizer order. A worker walked up behind while we were seated and went out the door and it smelled like they farted or messed their pants while behind our table. Another staffer came by smelling heavily of weed, we realized then that it was not a customer before. We waited 10 plus minutes to get the drinks. We didn't get to order our food until the appetizer came. We asks for 2 steaks to be medium well, 1 medium and 2 chopped steaks well done. The steaks came out rare and bloody and we were looking around for anyone to help, noone one around. Had to go find someone to get out waitress back out. Sent the 3 steaks back. Mind you 2 are for children who are hungry and can not eat. The chopped stead came out more on the medium side than medium well and they were supposed to be well done. The 2 people decided to just eat it. The steaks came out again still bloody. We weren't going to waste time again to wait for more undercooked steak. Asked to just get boxes to go. Got an apology and was told we could have a dessert for free. Honestly at this point Money should have been taken off the bill, but noone there seemed competent enough to fix the bill and that's why the desserts were offered. Horrible expierence , kids were tired and just over it so we left. It was quite obvious that the whole staff was under the influence of something. To see that this location had a 4 star rating...

I write this review with great sadness. This use to be my favorite steak house. When my wife and I wanted a steak, I would call a bunch of friends and invite them out for the most expensive steak Long Horn has to offer. The Outlaw steak. Visited this location many times and always had a good meal. Except for August 7th. I had a party of seven. Four of us ordered the Outlaw steak and the four of us were in bed with food poisoning for a week! Imagine feeling dizzy, hart pounding out your chest, nauseous and not able to throw up with a headache for a week. So we were dining on a Sunday night, after being sick all week I made the decision to call the General manager on Friday to inform him of the out come of our dinning experience. What I honestly have to say about how they handled the call was truly unexpected. They basically passed it off as I were a lier without any apologies or any concerns. The manager Anthoney was argumentive rude and hung up on my nephews. I decided to call back the next day on a Saturday to speak with the general manager to at lease get an apology and again meet with an attitude with the first statement out of the associates mouth was "We don't do refunds" as if I were asking for one?and was promised a call back that never happened. I never thought I would have to say to my wife and friends "I will never step foot in Long Horn Steak House again" during my attemps of providing the staff of Long Horn Steak House i nerver once raised my voice. Serverd fast and efficient Bathroom clean Very polite waitress and attentive even in training

Restaurant is clean overall clean tables and floors

Bread is decent rather dense but tasty The "perfect margarita" is just standard margarita but not bad by any means

Shrimp app is very tasty and breading and peppers are great

Bloomin onion is fantastic with a different take on the matter vs competition quality

Onions ring batter is wonderful and the sauce has very strong tang which complements it nicely

The side salad is good size and the lettuce is crisp the croutons are buttery flavored which is nice and the cheese is fresh tasting and sharp there is also a distinct pepper taste whice I fond lovely in any teaser salad

The steak arrived and the mushrooms and onions on top were good the mushrooms especially the steak seems watery but that's just the juice Ness of it has a very flavorful seasoning and was cooked good the meat however a bit tough overall a ribeye medium

The new corn was actually sweet to the taste and and a mild sauce and spice which at first glace seem over the top you quickly learn. It's quite good

The molten chocolate cake was okay cake itself was not the best but it had generous ice cream and drizzle plus the molten chocolate was good

Overall 8.5 /10 would definitely reccomend coming here for a lovely meal...
