Target North Haven Connecticut. I had not been to the store since pandemic started until Wednesday, September 29, 2021, late afternoon. My experience was similar to two two star reviewers. Not good [It might be helpful if reviewers mentioned what they were shopping for so the discrepancy of empty shelves from some reviewers and high praise for stocked shelves from other reviewers makes sense.] I was shopping NOT for linens or kitchen equipment or children's clothing. I was shopping for food. I found freezer shelves almost empty with one or two items only and usually they were misplaced from another section. Shelves were empty. Many price tags were missing Things were messy. I asked a stocking employee if there was a week day when shelves were stocked since this Wednesday the food department was not well stocked. He said that this had to do with poor delivery of goods and not enough people to stock shelves. Strange since this is not impacting Hamden (nearby town) Stop & Shop or Walmart. At end of checkout, loading my bags, I asked check out person if she charged me for 4 cans of soup even though I had 5 because the Deal was "buy 4, get 5th free". She looked at my receipt and said she didn't think so and I would have to go to the Return Desk to get it taken care of. Was I happy to do this? NO. Walked over and found 4 people in line ahead of me. Happy? NO. My turn. Explained issue as I took 5 cans out of my shopping bag and put on counter. Employee asked if I had 5 cans at check out. Wow! I said I had just walked from checkout to stand in her line and yes, I had 5 at checkout. She looked at receipt and said she thought I had not been charged for the 5th can. Did she offer to show me? No. Did I want to take out my glasses and continue this waste of time? No. I left. I looked at receipt once home and realized that unless I remembered the original price of a can of that soup, I would not be able to determine if I was charged properly. That is how the system is set up. No original price and price charged. Was I happy? NO. Walking around the store was a nightmare. Shoe department - shoes on the loose on the floor rather than being in their boxes. Racks so close together that maneuvering a cart is a challenge. The clothing, housewares, etc. departments seemed well stocked so if reviewers with more review stars were shopping in those departments it makes sense. However, don't expect to get all the items you have on your Food To Buy List when you go to Target North Haven. There may be NO items or one or you may accidentally find it in an unexpected shelf location. Will I shop...
Read moreThis store is literally the worst, if I was able to give 0 stars I would. I bought two scooters from this place and both were broken. I should have just stopped at one but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and give them a second chance. Worst idea ever. The first scooter I bought the back wheel was constantly deflating because the metal thing was so far into the wheel that you couldn’t pump it with air unless digging it out, and there were scratch marks on the bottom as if the metal was scrapping against concrete or stone. (I didn’t have the hindsight to take pictures before returning it to the store but I will show pictures of the most recent purchase from this store). The second scooter I purchased was also damaged, the damage wasn’t as hidden as the first one. The damage is visibly noticeable, the handle bar joint is bent so I can’t even but it in to steer let alone grab the thing and the plastic covering for the charging port is damaged, the only thing that is keeping the piece from falling off is the grip tape on the scooter. As soon as I’m able I’m going to just return the scooter and get a refund bc this is ridiculous. Two scooters in the span of one week… both broken. It would be different in the box was labeled used or damaged but no, I paid full price for two scooters that I had no prior knowledge to being broken. This has got me so heated that I don’t plan on shopping at that target ever again and if you plan on buying a scooter at that establishment, don’t and if you do check before you leave the store. 0 out of 5 stars,...
Read moreUsually Target is our favorite store but our last visit was just a series of errors! It was filthy, disorganized, and had product I was interested in purchasing all strapped together and just staked up in a heap of merchandise. I literally had to go find an associate to come with a blade and un-strap so that I could look at it. The entire store had loads of empty shelves, stop that needed to be put away and disheveled merchandise through out, from sheets, and clothing to the "outdoor" center. I still ended up spending almost $300 but in reflecting I would rather not tour through a third world country again. There really is no excuse. Can't be because there weren't enough associates since I found several clusters of them in the front of the store all discussing what party they were going to go to or who was sleeping with who. I am no prude but there is a time and place for everything. Even when I checked out the associate was so engaged in a conversation with another associates that she messed up my order twice and completely ignored me and the fact that I was trying to hand her additional items for my order. She ended up totaling me out because she clearly didn't see I was even there. I said something about the fact that she never even acknowledged that I was there and she did apologize which is fine but that just shouldn't happen. Lucky, we as customers, have choices. Very frustrating and it make me sad because Target used to be our first choice as a place to go on a...
